Overall good experience

The cabin was perfect for our large family. The home was clean and had lots of entertainment built in. Beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was the dishwasher was broken and for 20+ people, the dishes can add up especially when hand washing. We would rent this cabin again in the future.

Thank you for the kind review, we are so glad you enjoyed the cabin. We apologize for the dishwasher, unfortunately, the repair was delayed because it required a part that had to be ordered and shipped, so we had 2 guest stays that had to go old school! Sorry for the inconvenience.

Grand getaway family get together

The property is very well located and a beautiful cabin for a large party with plenty of bedrooms and baths. The basement with so many bunk beds was great for the younger children who had a great time. The cabin was very clean when we checked in for our stay. A negative was the oven not working. We had a large family and planned to use the oven for dinners. The property manager was responsive and brought a toaster oven but that was not practical for dinner for a large group. He also said we could use the oven in the cabin next door. Also not practical when cooking for a large group. He called a repair person who would arrive after we checked out. so we had no functioning oven for our four night 5 day stay. The hand mixers also did not work and the crock pot was cracked. For the amount of money we paid we expected a working oven and kitchen appliances. There was no discount offered for our inconvenience. Other than that everything was as advertised, but the non working items impacted our stay.

Thank you for choosing Sweetwater Cabins. You did contact us Friday about the oven not working during your stay. However, when we showed up with the repair man we were sent away and were told that it was working and functioning properly, and the repair man was not needed. Then on Saturday evening when you reached out again, we were unable to get the repair man out again or order parts needed. It was only then that we brought you the toaster oven and offered to let you use the oven right next door. The oven was repaired immediately following your stay and we have had zero complaints since. We take our customer service very seriously and tried to do our due diligence and make sure your stay was comfortable. Thank you

We had 10 adults and 9 kids and we all were very comfortable. The layout of the home and the amenities are great. We all had plenty of space and room to play. We stayed at the house most of the time we were in town, but it’s also convenient to surrounding shopping and entertainment if you want to get out and about. I would definitely stay again and I would recommend to others. My only complaint is the fridge. It’s an old Samsung that does not work well at all. The management is completely aware of the issues because there is a big note on the fridge that says “leave room between items to allow fridge to stay cold”. We all know that is not how a fridge works… it’s broke and should be fixed or replaced. Other than that it’s a 10 out of 10.

We had 14 family members gathered for 3 days for a celebration of life for my mother who passed away on November 28, 2025 at the incredible age of 104. There was a slideshow, music, memories, laughter and a sweet final goodbye with Scriptures and Hymns. The house was beautiful with many areas to gather in large or small groups. There were 5 King bedrooms with en suite baths which was perfect for our family. The "kids" room was not just 4 bunks, not just 8 bunks, but 12 beds aligned with 4 across and 3 up, which gave us flexibility not, knowing how many of the younger generation would be coming. The kitchen was especially well adapted to feeding a big group. The only change I would make would be to install a double oven - cooking a Thanksgiving turkey and the side dishes would be an issue in such a small oven.A big thank-you to Sweetwater Cabins and Vrbo for allowing us to create a special memory together in such lovely, lovely surroundings.

Perfect thanksgiving getaway

Perfect size and plenty of room for large groups or family for the holidays! Went for thanksgiving and they had it decorated for Christmas already which the kids loved. Easy checkin and check out! Would definitely go back and stay!
