Fawn Cabin | Romantic Wooded Views + Hot Tub & Pet Friendly!
Welcome to paradise: That may be your first thought as you pull up the drive to Fawn Cabin, nestled among towering trees in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. A true log cabin with a covered wraparound porch, it’s secluded enough to provide utmost privacy, making it ideal for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway.
At the same time, it’s within the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from candles to quilts, pottery to paintings. It’s also just a 5-minute drive from the Gatlinburg Community Center, with a state-of-the-art fitness center where you can bowl, shoot pool or hoops, play racquetball, or swim in the indoor pool, to name just a few pursuits. Just a few minutes further is downtown Gatlinburg, where you’ll find everything from mini golf to an aquarium to the state’s first pancake house. And let’s not forget the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its hiking trails, historic cabins, waterfalls, and wildlife ranging from black bears to elk.
Once you see how restful and restorative Fawn Cabin itself is, though, you may want to spend most of your time simply hanging out. For instance, when you stay here you can enjoy the luxury of an outdoor hot tub and an indoor jetted bath. The hot tub is large enough for 2 (so romantic!), and its prime position on the porch lets you relish the surrounding woodlands, the fresh mountain breeze, and the serenading of the birds as you loll among the steamy, bubbling water. The indoor tub is perfect for some “me” time, especially when you return after a day of skiing, golfing, rafting, or hiking.
Of course, you can’t spend your entire vacation in a tub (tempting though that may be!). Fortunately, Fawn Cabin’s living room also encourages relaxation. The plush sofa and armchair are so comfortable. Curl up with that book you never have time to read when you’re at home, or stretch out and watch a movie or play video games on the TV. The sofa, by the way, converts to a bed for 2, enabling up to 4 people to stay overnight. In winter you can snuggle in front of the gas fireplace, whose warm glow will enhance the luster of the wood walls, floor, and ceiling.
The cabin’s open main space includes a dining table for 4—no need to eat every meal in a restaurant (unless you want to!). The kitchen is equipped with cookware, tableware, and appliances ranging from a fridge/freezer to a coffee maker. There’s a dishwasher too; after all, why scrub dishes when you can be lazing in a hot tub? If prefer cooking outdoors, there’s a charcoal grill at your disposal.
The bedroom is furnished in the same comfortable, traditional cabin style as the rest of the home. From the king-size log-frame bed you have a view of the porch and the woods; you just might hear the melodic hooting of owls as you drift to sleep beneath the lofty cathedral ceiling. One of the bedroom doors leads directly to the hot tub—how convenient (and romantic!) is that?
When it comes to romance, however, sometimes the simple pleasures are the best. So open a bottle of wine, then sit on the porch bench or rocking chairs with your partner, and revel in the serenity of your surroundings… and in each other’s company. On the other hand, if you’re traveling with a larger group, your stay here can be packaged with neighboring properties Buckhorn and Doe’s Den.
When you stay at Fawn Cabin, you can enjoy activity-filled days and restful, romantic nights—or kick back all day and paint downtown Gatlinburg red every evening. The choice is yours. First, though, you have to book your stay—so go on, make your reservation today!

Very clean, a little outdated, bed was comfortable, but was position at a steep incline, which made it hard to go in and out of the cabin. We loved the porch, the hot tub that was a treat.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted that you found the cabin very clean, enjoyed the comfortable bed, and especially appreciated the porch and hot tub. We are glad these features contributed positively to your stay. We appreciate you noting the steep incline leading to the cabin. We understand how this can make access more challenging, and your input is helpful as we continue working to ensure guests have clear and accurate expectations when selecting a property. Your feedback is invaluable and in enhancing the overall guest experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Your Jackson Mountain Team
Spotless cabin, cute decor, perfect hot tub. Door lock stuck but able to open after multiple attempts.

We stayed a week in this property. It was beautiful and so peaceful. Had a small hiccup with our door code working , but Jessica handled it like a pro. We had no problem at all. The light above the kitchen sink didn’t work, but no big deal since we didn’t use kitchen area much. Also the hot tub was nice the first night we used it but the next night it was rather chilly. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had a beautiful and peaceful stay. We regret the issue with the door code and the light above the kitchen sink. Rest assured, we will address these concerns promptly to ensure a seamless experience for future guests. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back soon.
The cabin was cute. Still decorated for Christmas in March. Not the most scenic location. Felt like a cabin in someone’s backyard. Was decent for the price.
Beautiful location. Very comfortable. Had issues with WiFi but they were worked out quickly. Needed to have more coffee available or at least filters for the coffee maker. Direct TV only had Chinese news network available 🤮. Need newsmax or fox for conservative minds.
They refused to give the door code before 4pm even though their email recommended printing it out before arrival due to poor cell signal. Finally gave me a fake door code and I had to call to get the real one upon arrival. TV had parental controls activated and the internet ran at less than .5 mbps which was slower than the spotty phone internet. Mgt company sent a young guy out and he said that the internet was maxed out and he could not do anything about it or the TV. Told him that I needed to speak to a manager. I then called the office on Tuesday afternoon to speak to the manager I was told that the manager was not available and that I would be placed on the manager call back list to be called in 3 to 5 days. When I got back to the cabin Tuesday evening someone had been in the cabin and left the front door unlocked. It's now Sunday and we are on the way home and still have not received a call from any one from the management company. This could have very well been a 5 star review with a little cooperation and communication from the management company.

The cabin is adorable however it is way smaller than it looks. The road to get to the cabin needs some work and there were absolutely no beautiful mountain views.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with this feedback Amanda! We strive to provide prospective guests with accurate photos of the unit, and we'll be sure to add new photos to the lineup.
It was a great stay we enjoyed ourselves and had some wonderful family time. We couldn’t not connect to the internet and the bed in the pullout couch was very uncomfortable. My car dragged going up to the cabin. But other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and we would go back. Very clean and everything you needed to cook with was provided. We loved the hot tub and the fireplace.

Fawn Cabin was AMAZING! It was secluded, quiet, conveniently located, and despite being pet friendly, the floors and everything else was so clean! I was able to let my 9 month old crawl around, and she didn't get filthy! The only issues we came across - the ceiling fan light in the bedroom didn't work, and I had to give the tubs a good cleaning before using them. 15/10 would recommend! We will definitely be using Jackson Mountain Homes again!
This was a nice secluded cabin. It was in a great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Just be aware that the driveway is very steep, I was glad we had a Jeep to drive up it.
We brought our dog which was great, however there is not really any ideal place for dogs to use the bathroom. Again very steep.
You will have nightly visitors aka raccoons trying to get into the outside trash cans. We literally had to buy bungee cords to keep the lids closed. They should maybe invest in better outside trash cans that actually stay closed. Just adds to the mountain experience, right!?
Overall our experience was good, and we look forward to visiting the area again.
This was the first rental/vacation property my Husband & I booked and we were extraordinarily impressed with the professionalism, ease of searching for properties, communication with the owners and overall safety of Vrbo. We will not need to look anywhere else for our future vacations-Vrbo offers the best "home away from home" we could ever dream!
The pictures associated with the Fawn Cabin are gorgeous. . but do not do a justice! Between the views outside the porch, looking out from the Hot Tub to relaxing in the Living Room by the fireplace, it was everything we wanted and more! Beautiful location & cabin for anyone looking for a getaway in the Mountains. Conveniently located near Gatlinburg, where the property owners provide guests with attractions, restaurants and other recommendations for exploring. We look forward to working with Jackson Mountain Homes in the future and staying at The Fawn!
This is exactly as advertised and just what we wanted. A quite, secluded spot with a porch for coffee and a clean place to sleep! No bells and whistles, but we didn’t ask for any! We didn’t cook, but would have had plenty of things to cook with. We usually sat on the porch but there was plenty of room in the cabin. No washer and dryer (the teacher in me didn’t read it too closely) but worked out fine. We found a little laundromat right down the road that was clean and close to the grocery store. The driveway up was pretty steep. We had a truck and did fine. I guess a small car could make it, you might want to ask! It is worth it if you can get up there. No places to walk around right at the cabin but we hiked and walked all day in the mountains. The view is of the mountain and trees directly in front of you, but that was fine because we went sightseeing all day long. It was so dark at night and you could hear frogs and crickets not far away. They responded quickly the couple of times I had a question. Easy check in and out. It was exactly what we needed, when we needed it. Thank you for a great stay!!
We had a great trip. The cabin was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay. Easy to get to Town and still very quiet and peaceful.

Anniversary getaway
The bathroom sink dripped, several jets on the hot tub did not work the WiFi address would not pull up. The worst part was the bed. The mattress was SO hard that at one point we almost got up and left. We were only there for one night so we just settled. It was very clean I have to give it that.
