Great place and stay, biggest concern was we were asked to change our original rental due to a double booking which was fine, but one of the two main requests were if the place was a ski in ski out, or walking distance to a lift and was told it was, but it was not and felt quite annoyed that we were lied/mislead. Otherwise the place was great and amazing setup. No fault to the owners, just the service people that told us it was one thing and instead another. If they are looking to amend that for us next year, great, otherwise may have to look elsewhere for a rental

Thank you for sharing your review. We apologize that the home you initially booked was unavailable and appreciate your patience with our team. We understand that these unexpected changes can be frustrating, and regret that this change negatively affected your vacation. We are pleased you were still able to enjoy quality time in Big Sky despite this setback, and we look forward to welcoming you back for a better experience next year.
Great location. Beautiful home. Amazing Lone Mountain view
Great layout, well stocked and easy ski on ski off. We would stay here again. Only suggestion would be to add the trails needed to get back to the Condo on the listing. Cinnabar to Natwista to Bootlegger to Alpine Meadow. Very easy once we learned this.

Hi, Jeff. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Gateway and appreciate your suggestions. It was a pleasure having you as our guests, and we hope to welcome you back to Big Sky soon.
The property was in a great location and was really nice. I think it was bigger and nicer then the website listed it as. Would highly recommend this place.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Good: We loved the property - clean, plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, hot tub was already hot, plenty of firewood for cozy evenings, and a large selection of games. Ski-in/ski-out was great.Bad: We had asked for early check in of 1-2 hours since we had been up since 4am EST and had been in transit for 14hrs and were exhausted. We were not accommodated. We were told it was because there was a group checking out - come to find out the home had been empty for several days prior to our arrival. When we were finally allowed to check in, the instructions were totally wrong. We were told there was a keypad on the front door - there wasn't. We tried to code we were given to open the garage pad - it didn't work. There was also a lock box at the garage - code didn't work there either. When we tried to contact the property manager (by clicking on the "contact host" button on VRBO) we were sent to a number that doesn't exist. We looked up the property manager website online and called that number. No one answered. We left a message. No one called back. We sent text messages. Nothing. At this point I thought we had been scammed for 10K and needed to scramble for a hotel. Finally, after being stranded in the cold for over 30 minutes, someone finally answered and gave us the correct access code.Other problems: no blinds in the master bedroom, and only one tiny cutting board for food prep.Despite the bad, we did enjoy our stay and would return!

Thank you for sharing your experience at Gateway Condo. While we are pleased you enjoyed the home and would return, we sincerely apologize that your stay did not meet our standards. We have followed up with our team regarding the communication efforts received around check-in, and action has been taken to ensure the codes and all information are correct. We apologize, we were unable to grant an early check-in for you, as the home had a guest check out the day prior. Thank you for being our guest; we will look forward to welcoming you back for a smoother stay in the future.
The condo is new and in a great location. You need to follow the directions to get to the condo on the ski runs but very easy to get to with it. Luxury kitchen with everything you need. Fantastic wood burning fireplace and great hot tub for après ski. Comfortable beds and great space to hang out with family watch movies etc. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great week!

Hi, Paul. We are delighted you loved your Big Sky stay and appreciate your review. We hope to welcome you back soon; thank you for being our guests!
We were so impressed with this property from the booking to the end of the stay. The location is fantastic for a family vacation with enough to do in the evenings to entertain even the teenagers and quiet enough for my husband and I to feel like we were unplugged for a week. Big Sky is literally amazing - terrain to fulfill anyone’s choices, some of the nicest chairlifts we’ve ever ridden, and great food accessible from the base lodge.
The condo absolutely met our needs. It was exactly as pictured on VRBO and even came stocked with essentials like paper towles in abundance, trash bags, laundry detergent, soap and shampoo/conditioner/lotion within each bathroom, and enough glassware to throw a huge party! 😉. I loved having the Keurig in addition to a drip coffee maker and was totally shocked to find an All-Clad slow cooker in the cupboard near the fridge. Wish I would have known that beforehand but noted for next year. The linens were excellent. The hot tub was fantastic and so appreciated after a long day of skiing, and the views from the deck of Lone Peak were literally breathtaking - especially in the morning. The kids loved having the sleds downstairs and spent several evenings sledding down the hill outside of the hot tub entrance.
The one thing we’d like to share with others is the secret squirrel way to get to the condo from the main base lodge. Make your way to Pony Express and upon exiting the lift head right and under the tunnel. Not even a quarter mile down the cat track take a right on Natwista and follow straight to Bootlegger. Stay on Bootlegger and follow to Alpine Meadows across the long skier bridge. Stay on through the condo community and once you get over the skier bridge with the decent drop make an immediate right to catch the cat track around the semi-circle of the Wildwood condos so you can literally ski to the back door. It took us a few tries so we’re hopeful these directions are helpful to others.
Overall we lucked out with the weather and the snow and the condo was everything we expected and then some. We’ll most definitely be back again next year!
