Little piece of paradise, Mickelson Trail Lodge.

Welcome to the Mickelson Trail Lodge

Custom built lodge with 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, screened porch with 20’ cathedral ceiling. Log covered patio with mammoth wood burning fireplace, private swimming pool and gardens, and featuring a unique hot tub with spectacular views of the valley. (Hot Tubs are not available during the months of January & February).

The pool is open Memorial Weekend-Labor Day weekend. (weather permitting).

We only allow 1 dog per cabin. We don't allow any other type of animals. Dogs must be less than 20 lbs. Dogs must be on leash when walking around the property, please clean up after your dog as well! If there’s evidence of excessive dog hair in the cabin. There’ll be an additional $300 charge. Please bring a kennel for the dog, so they are not loose in the cabin. Dogs are not allowed on any type of furniture or bedding.

There is absolutely No smoking/Vaping anywhere in this cabin. If we find any trace of smoking/Vaping anywhere in the cabin, there will be a $300 fee.


Located in the Heart of the Hills, just minutes away from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and all major Black Hills attractions.

We have 24 Hour Security Cameras on Property.

Disclaimer: Cell phone & Wi-Fi reception is very limited. Also, there is no washer/Dryer unit available at this cabin.

Matt was awesome to work with! Very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The lodge was great. The rooms were big and easily accommodated our party of five adult couples and five kids. We stayed here with my entire family for a little hills getaway. We loved the location. Tucked away outside of hill city, in a small development. There were horses running around in the area that the kids could feed and interact with. The bike trail is right on the property also. Huge grassy yard. Hot tub was nice. Pool was also nice. 50th wedding anniversary

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family at this property. There were 17 of us and had plenty of room inside and a place to play games outside! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and petting the horses close to the back yard! It was a quiet and spacious area!
