Peace and quiet
We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy little cottage. It had everything we needed and we found the location pretty convenient for our visits around the island. We would definitely recommend a hike along the Coast Alvar Trail at Misery Bay Provincial Park. Stunning! The house is clean and comfortable. It was a little chilly in the house when we got there but took no time at all to warm up with the fireplace and heaters. We looked forward to coming back at the end of a day of hiking and sightseeing to sit in the chairs at the edge of the bay and then cozying up inside with the fireplace on. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, beautiful grounds and lovely views of the bay. Such a beautiful peaceful relaxing place. A little piece of heaven.

About the host

Host profile image
Greetings from Kagawong! We have owned the Nuthatch cottage since 2004 and have lived in it for 3 years. We eventually built a house adjacent to the cottage and also built a large middle garden as we are avid gardeners. We have created a retreat that is surrounded by nature. Don't be surprised to see deer, rabbits, and a number of birds that will visit the property throughout the seasons.

Why they chose this property

We are centrally located to the many Manitoulin day trip adventures that are offered all year long. This cottage is something very unique by the decorations and artwork that reflects the specific landscape of Manitoulin Island. We also want to show our appreciation of you choosing us. By partnering with various businesses, we offer an appreciation gift that showcases products produced on the island. We take great care in respecting your privacy and space. We are very responsive to any questions you may have about the cottage, village, or Manitoulin Island.

What makes this property unique

We love Kagawong and the ability to explore the many things Manitoulin Island has to offer all year long! You can also just stay in to relax in front of the fireplace or peaceful back deck. The cottage is very flexible!
