From the outside, a person would keep driving by, but the inside is absolutely fantastic - that is, if you love the country look. The kitchen was well furnished with all the dishes and cookware needed and new appliances. The small living area was furnished with period furniture and decorations. Each of the three bedrooms had very comfortable beds and were furnished with period pieces. The patio had an eating area with grill and table for when the weather allows outside recreation. In the evening you can relax around a fire ring. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Can't wait to go back!!
Our family of 7 had a fantastic time at Cold Creek Manor. The home was welcoming and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. They offered fun things to do around the city and had fruit, muffins, granola bars, waters and more waiting for us. Truly thoughtful hosts. We rented boats at Jenkins one day, hiked to the tower, walked around the town, explored Blanchard springs caverns. It was a lovely, perfect weekend getaway. Don’t miss staying here and seeing Calico!

Absolutely Wonderful!!
This property was so much fun! It is surrounded by historical buildings and has a great private back yard. We had a fire in the braiser pit, grilled every night, and had coffee on the front porch every morning. The house is fascinating!! Brian and Christina have made a truly magical space. There is so much to explore in this part of the state. Calico Rock is a charming town and we will be visiting again as soon as possible.
Needed a place for a last minute trip. I had seen this place many times, and decided to give it a shot as the weather was mild. The use of window unit AC systems had been a concern in earlier considerations. After arriving, the placed is very nice, decorations were awesome. They had left some muffins, fruit, snack bars, and water as a welcome gift. I'll also add, that my concern with the AC may not be as much of an issue during warmer periods. The building is and old one in the very old downtown area, concrete construction, and with very good window coverings. So given all those aspects, I think that the units could keep the space cool enough during the summer months, and I may give it shot on a future trip.As always Evolve was super easy to schedule with, they provided all needed information for arrival, the departure requests are very reasonable, which is great compared to some.I'll continue to look for their locations when visiting the area.
Great place to go for hiking, fishing, shopping, central to many historic/scenic sites. The nearby(short short walk) town has a great museum and several quant shops and the people are all friendly and helpful. The town even has a "speak easy" that you must visit and have a laugh with the great staff. Our host Brian and Christa have a wonderful place in the middle of Peppersauce Ghost Town and are great and informative host. Upon our arrival we were greeted with fruits and snacks, this was greatly appreciated because of our late arrival and long drive. It is full of antique furniture, pictures and various items that make it a unique and a cozy place to stay. It also has a nice area in back for gathering and a fire pit. We didn't feel the presence of any ghost, they were probably resting up for Halloween which was 2 days after we left, but you never know when they might show their presence. I will recommend this place to stay to all my family and friends that want a nice, quiet and roomy place to stay and have adventures.
We Really enjoyed this place! Host had fruit, muffins, and snacks for us when we arrived. The house was well stocked with all the items needed for our stay. Definitely recommend!
