Why they chose this property
This property is special because it is located in one of the most unique, well-kept secrets of northern California. It is a place where you can enjoy the outdoors in a crisp, clean-air environment or simply relax and enjoy the views. It is a place we have enjoyed raising our three sons for the past 18 years.
What makes this property unique
Lake Almanor was constructed by Great Western Power Company in 1914. The name Almanor originated by combining the names of three sisters - Alice, Martha, and Elinor - daughters of Guy C. Earl, Vice-President of Great Western Power Company. The lake now stores 1,308,000 acre feet of crystal clear blue water and is 13 miles long and 6 miles wide.
