A Perfect Fisherman's Getaway!



The Space:

Casa del Pescador is a beautiful waterfront cabin on a canal that directly connects to East Bay. Enjoy glorious sunrises over the marsh, and sunsets on the bay from the front and back decks. Your boat can be tied to the dock directly in front of the house, and you'll be on the bay for prime fishing in moments. No boat? Enjoy canal fishing from the dock at the property! The cabin is also just minutes from Stingaree Restaurant & Marina, and a quick golf cart or vehicle ride to the beach.



After a day of fishing, utilize the fish cleaning station downstairs, as well as the charcoal grill, to prepare the day's catch. Enjoy rinsing off in the outdoor shower before coming in to relax in this lovely canal-front home. There's plenty of room to lounge on the plush living room furniture and enjoy a movie on the television (streaming service and high speed internet included). The room opens up to a well-stocked kitchen and a dining area with a table that seats six - both great when you want to cook and eat indoors, rather than at the large outdoor spaces. There is even a washer and dryer for your convenience.



With 2000 square feet, this great cabin contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and easily sleeps 8. The main bedroom features one king bed. The other two bedrooms have one queen bed in each. There is a queen sleeper sofa that offers sleeping for two more.



Casa del Pescador is perfect for your family getaway, or your "guys fishing trip". You will want to come back again and again!



The boat lift is not available for guest use. No pets are allowed. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Easy check in - great location. House was clean and had plenty of kitchen utensils, pots pans, etc. Boat slip on site was wonderful and was easy to access with the boat launch, bait shop and restaurants right up the road. We will be back !

Overall very pleased with the house and location, declined off for linen package, (bedsheets), but was not informed that no bath towels or washcloths would be on site and need to bring you on. Outside this little, was a very nice stay.

Great home right on the bay

My Wife and I stayed this past weekend on a short trip to Chrystal Beach and loved this place. Great location on the bay for bringing a small fishing boat or poles to fish in the front or the rear of the house. Only a couple minutes away from the beach which is nice to leave the beach there when you are done. Kitchen is well stocked so no need to bring anything there. Make sure you bring your sheets for the beds or there is a fee for them to provide. We would stay there again and intend to with our kids this summer. Also the booking agency (Swedes Realty) was easy to work with and had great attitudes

Bird poop everywhere and I can tell it wasn’t properly cleaned before arrival. But man o man did the inside and upstairs area surprise me. Inside was extremely homely , never felt so instantly comfortable as soon as I walked into a beach house and I’ve been to plenty. Beautiful decor that matches the beach vibe , had everything the boys and I needed. The hammock downstairs near the water was beyond relaxing. The uno cards definitely ignited some rivalries. Swedes has done it again , my family and I only rent from these guys! The ladies I’m sure don’t remember me but the customer service is always incredible. Be back soon

The home itself was absolutely beautiful. We specifically asked Swedes beforehand about boat lift being available so we wouldn’t have to launch boat 12 times in Three days....boat lift and electrical connection downstairs didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed so no boat lift and no cleaning fish on fish cleaning table! Made it difficult. Swedes’ staff didn’t seem to care much about it. When I called to ask about it, their response was comical. Took a day and a half and two phone calls just to get someone to check it for us and then the staff immediately told me that the contract specifically says they aren’t held responsible to fix anything...amazing.

Nice place, Management company, not so much.

The stay was fairly nice and we enjoyed the home. The photos don't do it justice. Big kitchen was well appointed and easy to cook in. Electric stovetop and oven were in working order. There were 2 charcoal grills that worked well. The management company on the other hand is a different story. When we arrived at the house the internal temperature was 91 degrees. we had to turn the A/C on and leave for 3 hours to allow it to cool down. We paid extra for the convenience of having linens, towels and washcloths. If you think that you should pay for this convenience, I would suggest rethinking it. The sheets were threadbare and the towels and washcloths were like sandpaper. The master bedroom is the hottest room in the house. The water and ice maker in the refrigerator don't work so make sure you stop and get ice on the way in. The biggest gripe I have was that the house came equipped with exactly 1/2 a roll of 1 ply, 60 grit sandpaper, I mean toilet paper per bathroom and nothing else. There was exactly 1 trashcan liner in the kitchen trash can. When that was full, we were just SOL.So, to recap, bring your own linens, bring your own toilet paper and bring your own trash bin liners. One would think that when spending well over 200 a night for a place that they would at least have the basic essentials provided. I just hope that the owner looks at the reviews that this home has received.

The home was very very dusty. Anyone who battles allergies would know this poses an huge problem. The house was decorated very nicely and the location was wonderful. The management team did give us a 50% refund due to the home not being cleaned to our standards.

Beautiful home!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! This house was perfect! Close to the beach right on the water with easy access to the bay for kayak fishing which we took full advantage of. Best part was the early check in and late check out did not feel rushed to leave. Will definitely be booking again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked Casa del Pescador about a week before our anticipated stay. We opted to have linens included. The house itself was as described and in a great location. However, we ran into a few issues upon arrival - first - the door code we were given was incorrect. Took about 25 minutes to get that sorted out and we were back in business. Second - we discovered about 45 minutes after we got in the house that the water was off, along with a few other issues like chirping smoke alarms, ice maker non functional, various lightbulbs burnt out, and outlets scattered throughout the house not working. We got with the on call person again about the water, and they had maintenance come out and get it turned out for us. It was likely turned off because of potential for a freeze. The next day maintenance came out (three separate times) to address the other issues. While none were huge issues, it was frustrating that the property management folks, in anticipation of the home being rented for the weekend, hadn't sent anyone out to inspect and make sure the property was ready for guests. Things like the smoke alarms, door code, water off, ice maker not working, lightbulbs, etc - could have all been addressed before we arrived. On top of that - the linens not already being on beds was a surprise. I would have figured that a $150 fee for linens would have at least included their team putting the sheets and pillowcases on the beds. That part was not told to us upon booking but we will know for the future. The check out instructions were also very vague with a note to 'follow instructions from your linen provider' but we weren't given any. So we just stripped beds and left everything in the bathrooms. Overall - the home was very comfortable and we would rent this unit again, if we knew that the property had been inspected prior to our arrival. We were only there for 2 nights, so 4 different maintenance visits was a bit excessive and disruptive to our quick getaway.

Beautiful home

The pictures and descriptions given for this house do not do it justice! This home is really beautiful and very peaceful! Kitchen has everything you need with the exception of bake ware. Bed in master is soft and comfy. Plenty of space on couches in living area. Didn't have any issues with anything in the house. Only downside to this house was no lights for night fishing and trying to figure out the light switches.
