We are just a 5 minute walk down to the Marina View marina, via a closeby set of stairs, right out front, then jot across the 274 and pickup path, or drive to Marina with key card and park. We are Just a 17 mile drive to the South Gate of Yosemite! Reservations are now required starting January 2025. Search Google for up to date, specific details and the link to reserve entry.
*We are just a 20 minute drive to main town of Oakhurst. Or, 8 minutes to small town of North Fork.
*5 minutes to awesome Pines Resort market and restaurants. *Duceys restaurant a favorite!
*restaurants, thrifting, art galleries, live music, yoga, country western saloon, antiquing, ATVing, ElderBerry House for 5 Star French Dining...the skies the limit.
3 Marinas and Landings to explore on Bass lake, all offering something fun and unique! Millers, The Pines or The Forks.
From Ice Cream Pop shops, to bike rentals to active live music overlooking lake. Skies the limit. Don't miss the falls at willow Creek but BECareful. Falls are Rapid! Accidents can and do happen yearly by foolish behavior. It’s smart to keep your pet on a leash there or, they could go over slippery wet rocks into rapid waterfalls. Head to Duceys down stairs for a more full upscale menu, however, still casual dress allowed. You set the pace....Want a 5 STAR Organic French meal Experience? Your safety and fun filled stay, is our top importance. ..parking for boat trailers is street parking only, and some spots right outside Marina gates. DISH TV with surround sound & Internet FREE. No EV Charging yet. There is one Electrify America in town at 41/49 interchange. Electrify America is down and below Round Table Pizza.
We are on the deep side of lake, near the dam, in the NO wake zone part of lake. So water is deepest at dock even in winter, and safe for swimming.
Lots to do in town! On or off lake activities: like Axe Throwing, ATVing, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, snow skiiing YNP, local hikes, autumn still on air! paddle boarding, cycling, hiking, kayaking, antiquing, thrifting, art galleries, live music, wineries. Yosemite and Shaver Lake are within a 90 minute drive. Ice Skate or Snow ski in Yosemite at Badger Pass, a favorite of ours for gentler skiing or snow boarding, or drive the extra miles to China Peak, a much more challenging course just beyond Shaver Lake. Snow shoe, maybe even snowmobile dependimg on snow levels each year.
Every season has something to offer
Town of Oakhurst has large grocery chains, hardware & a couple fun Clothing Stores, plus more restaurants. A small movie theater, and lots of Thrifting. North Fork is just 8 minutes by car, and has a small boutique organic market and larger “ok” super market.
Enjoy a magnificent brunch or dinner, over looking the lake at the famous Ducey’s …one of our many favorites featured in several movies or The Forks, for that "camp like" feel, for traditional diner like breakfasts & lunches, or dinner and an Ice Cream shake counter bar. Live Music is every afternoon and early evenings during summer months, at the Marina Bar & Grill adjoining the Pines Resort, down at the water, next to the Marina Gas Dock and Rental Stations.
# Quiet times outside on deck are 7:30am to 10 PM. Before and after quiet hours please keep noise moderate and respectful, even down on the docks, as noise travels in nature. Thank you.
NO fireworks or smoking ever on or around property. This is a High Fire Zone Area, part of state, and unfortunate fires have happened in past near Bass Lake, due to selfish or foolish behavior. Let’s not have history repeat itself. Thank You. We look forward to hosting a family & friends retreat, that will make long lasting unforgettable-memories!

About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth Vucurevic
We originally found Bass Lake in 2009, & instantly fell in love with it.
We had always camped & frequented desert lakes, but Mom being raised on east coast still yearned for Forests ...set on installing a zip line, for the kids.
We did at first in a much smaller forest home nearby, but sadly that forest was taken by the big Courtney Fire. Destroying our dream and many neighbors.
But....Moms not a quitter.
Dad dreamed of owning a home with a boat slip in Marine View, the no wake zone, side of Bass. He didn't have to swim out, to launch, carry friends' dogs, junk,or scour a rental slip.
Mom being taught by her Navy dad to hunt for the right piece of property, no matter how long it took, finally discovered this home, during the mortgage crisis,
Within our budget & quickly fixing it up, (Moms love & talents), it became our new vacation home, away from the hustle & bustle.
14 long years of hunting areas & working long days to achieve ownership, landed us here.
We want others to be able to share in the joy and beauty of nature and create long lasting family and friendship memories ...just like we have.
Our kids will never forget the summer days on the lake & cool snowy mountain winters at Badger Pass.
Both our children went on to be Environmental Science Majors in College grsduating with Honors, after seeing forest destruction first hand and up close, We are proud of them.
We love hosting, as everyone who chooses our home to stay, feels like family to us. You picked our home for a reason. It felt right. We hope your family & friends. enjoy it as much as we have!
"Heres to the nights, that turn into mornings, where friends, turn into family." Laughing, (or bickering), playing cards, games, puzzles or telling stories, after a long satisfying day on the lake, or outdoor adventure.
Please ...sign our guest book and leave a long lasting memory, or on your booking site, as we enjoy reading them. It makes us smile.
Gratefully,
The Vucurevic's.
