Wonderful Property and Gracious Hosts

We stayed at Pier 6 for two weeks during July. Both the house itself and the surrounding grounds are exceptional. The place is kitted out with all manner of entertainment---zipline, yard games, two grills, a fabulous firepit, a putting green...not to mention a spacious dock/boathouse area with lots of water toys. The house itself is just as nice as the pictures suggest, perhaps more so. Communication with the hosts was straightforward and prompt.. One the first day we had a small snafu and the hosts were very helpful over text. We hope to be back again! PS Shoal Lake is a great lake. Less boat traffic than some of the more popular spots on LOTW (especially if you make the run down toward Labyrinth Bay) and great fishing as well. We caught lots of big bass and huge pike, and caught some musky as well (up near Ash Rapids).

Super relaxing family vacation

This cottage is located at the best spot for people who live in Winnipeg. Only 2hr short drive from home to the boat launch, 3 min boat ride to the cottage at the pristine waters of shoal lake, ON. Cottage itself is very comfortable, has drinking water which was perfect for us since we use the same system at home and that alone saved me taking gallons of drinking water. There is ice maker which is very handy. Fishing is amazing if you know where to go and how to fish. Water level is still pretty high so some areas like sunroom and their big deck was not usable for us. Wifi is excellent, no issues whatsoever. The owner, Jay is very kind and excellent to communicate. I hope we can rent this cottage next year again.
