Sunshine cottage is conveniently located on the main street of South Katoomba. 1.2km from Katoomba Train Station and Echo Point Visitor Informaiton Centre (Three Sisters), which is a 15-minute walk. It is a short stroll to Aldi, Woolworths and Coles supermarkets.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunshine Cottage. The house was simple and clean, the beds warm and comfortable (electric blanket most welcome!) and the back deck was a lovely space to start a relaxing day. I was excited to realise what a short walk it was to visit the Three Sisters. Would happily rebook.

Lovely old style cottage. Super cosy - beds, quilts and pillows - were very comfortable. Very well stocked kitchen and several heating options to make the winter nights more comfortable. Massive back yard - would be nice to see more done with it like a gazebo or similar - but the back deck was lovely to watch the birdlife from. A wonderful weekend in a great location.

The house was immaculate and very well equipped. It was warm and comfortable, quiet and homely, with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and crisp sheets. I'd stay here again in a snap!

Our stay was in an ideal location for seeing the sites of Katoomba and the near the centre of town. The walk to town was up a reasonable hill but we didn't mind it since we are still reasonably fit for our ages - 68 to 74.Beds were comfortable and still warm enough not to need the electric blankets on the cool nights that we had.Yard was great for our border terrier and the bird life that came in during the early morning and late evening.Just keep in mind for tall people who share a bed that only one is a queen and the other two are doubles. Luckily for us that still fit our needs.Kitchen has a gas cook top and stove along with a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker that uses Nespresso pods.Just note, the councils bins are located on the outside of the backyard fence.Will definitely stay here again next time we want to go to Katoomba.

We enjoyed our overall stay but had to cut our holiday short due to the beds being very hard and uncomfortable and we did not get any sleep. The lounge was also very uncomfortable to sit on. The cottage was lovely though.

Wonderful stay

There were 5 of us traveling and loved the location. The home was clean and had the basics. We walked to many things as the location is prime. We did several day trips from here as well. Great times had by all!

We enjoyed our short stay at Sunshine Cottage. It was close walking distance to the 3 Sisters as well as Katoomba village. The rooms were comfortable, we had excellent WiFi access and used the smart TV and Netflix. the kitchen was well equipped and the deck was lovely and sunny in the afternoon of our second day. On the first day it was cold and rainy but the cottage was perfect for this as we lit a fire and enjoyed the warmth on an unseasonably cold day. We'll be back!
