About this property

2BR Cottage on 1 Acre. Air Con & King Beds.

Hidden away on a lush 1-acre property located near the heart of Yeppoon, Hughes Hideaway is a beautiful tropical retreat where you can truly escape but still only a stones throw to Yeppoon’s main attractions. Located 5 minutes to the Yeppoon Lagoon, Main Beach, Cinema and an array of local shops, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets.

Our cottage is welcoming, comfortable and fully air-conditioned. Spend some time exploring our Capricorn Coast or while away the hours or stay put and enjoy our peaceful tropical gardens. Stroll into town for dinner and drinks or get cosy at night as you relax around our firepit enjoying the stars, firewood and marshmallows supplied. Sleep like a baby in our top of the range beds. Take the ferry from Rosslyn Bay to enjoy the stunning Keppel Islands or head North to Byfield National Park. Rockhampton is an easy 30 minutes' drive.

Hughes Hideaway is a peaceful retreat and is not suitable for parties or large groups. We would love to answer any questions that you have and help in any way that we can, we want to make your stay exceptional!

PETS:

Please mention your pets when booking.

We welcome well behaved pets but Please note our property is not fully fenced. There is a fence around two sides and bush and a creek bed around the other two. There’s only one way into the property and we are set back 20 metres from the road.

If your pet is an inside pet then please respect our rule of no pets on the beds or furniture. Also no pets to be left inside the house without a human present.

Note there are security cameras overlooking the driveway/parking area and back of the house only . This is for the security of the property.

Fantastic Stay

The cottage is on a fantastic property. Big garden which was great for the dog. The location is excellent, close to the two shopping malls and not far to the beach. The decor was really smart, everything well set out and immaculately clean.

Great find in Yeppoon

The property was better than we expected- tucked away and private, very clean, and lovely little touches to get our stay underway in the nicest way! The weather wasn’t great for our visit but the house was so comfy that we were happy just to hang out there. Thank you!

Our favorite place in Australia

This house is so cute and comfy. The beds are so comfortable and we loved all the little extras the host left us. We really enjoyed sitting out and listening to the birds in the morning. It’s so quiet and a little off the main beach area, yet very close to everything. We were on a 3 week road trip in Australia and this was our favorite place! We would recommend it to anyone staying in the Yeppoon area.

Perfect for a family of 4

12 Hughes street was perfect for our family of 4. Everything was supplied in the house from food and drinks to toiletries and even some lovely touches like a bottle of champagne and nibbles. Our dogs had the use of a big backyard. Location was perfect. Very neat and tidy home that is obviously well looked after . We would love to book this home again when visiting Yeppoon.

Hidden Gem!

What a wonderful property. Everything you could require and more! The property is tranquil and private and yet close to everything. The property has been beautifully renovated and has all the amenities that you would need for your stay. Great to be able to take our pup with us also and she loved sitting on the deck watching the bird life as did we with a glass of bubbles kindly provided by our hosts. When back in the area we will definitely be staying again.

Our stay

Everything had been thought about. From the gift basket including a bottle of bubbles on arrival to fresh milk and assorted extras in the fridge. The cleanliness of the property was second to none however the homeliness was not compromised. Most of all we were blown away by the peace and tranquility of our surroundings. We plan to be back next year.

Wonderful place & very serene

What an absolute wonderful place. Alister & Sheena are wonderful hosts.You couldn't ask for anything else to have a wonderful stay. The welcome basket was wonderful. Chips to have with the Prosecco. Marshmallows & pineapple to toast on the fire pit. We can't speak highly enough of the cottage. Hopefully we will be back again. What a beautiful spot in this awsome little hideaway, just the atmosphere in this amazing cottage will send you to relax mode which is what we needed our ragdoll blue russian just loved it as much as we did. Peace of paradise

The hosts are absolutely wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a Cottage that is set up with everything don’t hesitate! The bed and lined is beautifully comfortable, the kitchen is great and the outdoor deck is a wonderful place to sit and relax with lots of birds visiting. We enjoyed yoga in the very private yard as well as some fires in the fire pit. 5 stars! The hosts also leave a little care package on arrival as well as some lovely little gifts in the fridge ❤️ we have already booked again!

PERFECT FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT

We had the most amazing stay at the cottage. It is exactly as described and photographed. The area is very quiet, but still very close to everything in the town, with Coles just down the road. Our dog especially loved the very large yard, which she spent a lot of time sniffing around. All the little extras that were in place were an added bonus, and we appreciated them immensely. The bed and bedding were luxurious, and the bedroom large enough for the dog bed as well. The cottage was meticulously clean. We wish we could have stayed longer.
