INSIDE
Spacious living area with gas fireplace and AC. Cuddle up and watch a movie or enjoy the lake views with wall to wall windows.
Big beautiful kitchen with lots of prep space - no dishwasher but everyone loves to help in this kitchen! The view is enjoyed by all who share family meals at the large dining table including extra seating at the island.
The separate sunroom is perfect for a quiet book or girl gab time.

OUTSIDE
Your family will enjoy the large yard perfect for games and having fun on the swing. There's even a hammock for your afternoon nap.

Grill up some steaks to share in the outdoor dining space. At night, all will gather round the firepit for s'mores and ghost stories.

This year 2024 there is a little bit of beach but there are public accesses all along this street where there might be more

NOTE: Approx. 80 stairs down your private access to the lake. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Even if it's stoney...it's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
I'm Jennifer, I'm under Lake Huron's spell, and I know you will be, too. I started CottageStays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace and enjoying Huron County's natural beauty and thriving communities. Your peace of mind is my priority, and I'm here to help make sure you have the best vacation possible.

EXPERIENCE BAYFIELD
The pace of life slows down in Bayfield. When you vacation here, it's easy to experience each day to its fullest. Take a 10 minute stroll to village downtown to fine exquisite dining restaurants/bars and cafes, from pub fare to fine dining. Many boutique shops to browse that unique find, or one-of-a-kind art pieces. Or take a bike ride and see the sights of Bayfield, such as the splash pad at Clan Gregor Sq., Pioneer park for a pickup game of volleyball, or the shores of gorgeous Lake Huron for a beach day. Follow up with the best sunsets in Ontario! Bring your kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, boat, hiking shoes and escape to some good adventures and make memories!

Visit during the off-season to catch favorite annual events like VetteFest or for a girl's getaway weekend—we're happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, shops, and yoga classes.

Bayfield is a "Blue Community" - visitors won't find bottled water in public facilities or at events but they will find a portable refillable water bottle station operated by pedal-power and five water bottle refill stations at public facilities located throughout the village.

Peaceful Retreat
We were looking for a place on the water to rejuvenate. The location of the property was perched overlooking Lake Huron. This enabled us to enjoy colourful sunsets, warm breezes and an evening bonfire. The steep stairway to the beach level might not be accessible for all, but the views are spectacular from the cottage back porch.

Couldn't Ask for a Better View!!
What a relaxing stay it was just what I was looking for and more. It was so easy to get settled thanks to the information packet, and everything I could possibly need was there. My absolute favourite part was sitting out on the back deck watching the rain storm roll in one day and watching the amazing sunsets - photos can't do it justice!

A real Beutt!
A perfect getaway for our family of four and our dog. We enjoyed our morning coffees with sunrises from the front porch and wine with beautiful sunsets from the back porch. It was so handy having private steps down to the beach where we enjoyed the endless waves and sandy beach. We used the large grass areas for playing catch, cornhole, and setting up our own mini putt course. The location was perfect and we explored Goderich, Bayfield, and Grand Bend on day trips. We also enjoyed stopping by the nearby Bad Apple Brewing and Cornerfield Winery. We have rented for numerous years, and this was the first time we had the opportunity to bring our dog along. She seemed to enjoy her vacation too as much as the rest of the family.
