We had a wonderful stay at Wintergreen! The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—close to the slopes and village amenities, yet quiet and peaceful. The views were beautiful, and it was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of snowboarding and exploring. The entire process was super easy from check-in to check-out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wintergreen! One small recommendation: bring extra towels!!!
It was what we needed for a weekend away. Plenty of room for the whole family and had all the supplies we needed. We were close to trails and the Bakery was great! The bathroom towels could use an upgrade but other than that it was a great stay!
Is was great place and location.. we like it for us use..

Fantastic
We had a Fantastic stay and will definitely return. Everything was clean in the condo, the bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, and the kitchen was extremely clean.
The property is fantastic for a small family or group. Incredibly clean, well maintained, and nice finishing. The location was incredibly convenient to get to the village for skiing. I would definitely recommend this property.
First time users of Vrbo, we had a great time. Place was clean and had a great location. It was easy to check in and check out. No issues at all. Highly recommend!

Weekend Getaway
Rented this condo for a weekend getaway with friends. The property is nice but could use some updates. Towels in the bathroom were dirty. The toilet in the hall bathroom was broken. Would not rent again.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The communication was great for some questions we had. The only negative was that the pool was only open from 2-6 which we didn’t know from the listing. Thank you for the comfortable home we enjoyed our stay
The space was clean and the kitchen equipped. Could use some updating. The balcony overlooks the tennis courts so not a quiet spot for morning coffee. Much less expensive than the other side of the road but no spectacular views either.
From the moment we arrived in Wintergreen (cool, fresh mountain air on a horribly hot summer day down below!), everything was perfect: ease of getting into the condo, the condo cleanliness, providing everything we needed. It was (thankfully) QUIET. The deck provided a great place for eating/reading/enjoying the peace! The location was lovely. It is close to lots of good hiking trails and easy to get to the lodge (driving) and a new (to us) cafe called Fire and Frost (great pizza, breakfast treats, coffee, etc.). I contacted the condo mgr a few times and they got right back to me STAT! This was a very fine stay. I would gladly stay there again. Thanks!
Overall our stay was positive - the condo was a good location for us and good size for our family of four. A few downsides were that we arrived to a dishwasher of dirty dishes, the toilet handle for the hallway bathroom kept disconnecting, and the kitchen stove/oven stopped working while we were cooking breakfast our last day. There were also no coffee filters - we bought a package that we left there for others. It would have been nice to either know coffee filters weren't included or know what size/type we needed to bring. We were able to contact our hosts easily, and these were relatively minor drawbacks for an otherwise positive stay. The beds and furnishings were comfortable and we otherwise had the basics we needed.

Has potential but needs TLC
The flapper on the hall toilet was broken. We could not get the stove top to heat up. There was tissue stuck in the second bedroom heating vent. Weatherstripping is hanging from the swinging door to the deck. About 5 feet of it is loose. They asked you to turn off the water, but they don’t tell you where the main cut off is. The TV instructions sheet is scribbled all over with updates. The entire condo just looks worn out.

Fine for a weekend visit
The condo was comfortable, clean, spacious, and convenient for our family of four, which was most important. Not too far from Fire and Frost and just a few minutes drive to nearby hikes and the Wintergreen Inn area. It feels like a rental as furnishings are very basic, sparse, and not cohesive. Beds and pillows are comfortable and each room has a TV - though cables, wires, and boxes were all over the place and the remote in the living room did not work. Wifi was solid, which was good because Verizon does not have reliable service beyond the Wintergreen Inn area. It was nice having a deck but sadly there is no view. The kitchen worked OK but the stove/oven had electrical issues and the cabinets were poorly outfitted beyond basic tableware. Bathrooms have good water pressure but are dated and the towels were both small and very thin. Only four towels were provided so we had to make do and use these as combo bath and pool towels, which was not ideal. We enjoyed access to the outdoor pool(s) but guests are only permitted access after 2 PM and ID + reservation confirmation is required for registration upon entry.

Overall Ok, but misleading
Overall, it was fine nothing great.First ~ We stayed at a condo because I have pretty severe food allergies, and it was very hard to cook a meal for even three people. Kitchen was very disorganized, pans in the same cabinet with the plates, plates strung wherever they would fit. It looked like college dorm kitchen. When you opened a cabinet ~ WATCH OUT! Stuff is falling out and might hit you. Is it a pan? It is a plate? Who knows! I did the best I could to straighten it up for the next guests while I was there. Second ~ The cable/satellite TV was a joke. The instructions for the TV had scribbles all over it and was hard to follow. I'm not electronically challenged either. The instructions need updating as well as the welcome folder.Third ~ This is what made me the most upset. You have no access to the community pool unless you are a member of Wintergreen Resort or a condo owner. There are no passes issued to VBRO guests. Lastly ~ The bath towels provided have seen their better days. I suggest you pack your own.

We take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- We’re sorry the kitchen organization made cooking difficult. We periodically organize the cabinets and will work with our property managers to keep cookware and dishes arranged in a way that’s easier for guests to use.
- We’ll review and update the TV instructions and welcome materials so they’re clearer and easier to follow for future guests.
- Guests staying at the condo do have access to the Chestnut Springs Pool at Wintergreen. Guest names are submitted ahead of time and photo ID is required for entry, and we’ll make sure these directions are clearer in our guest information.
- We’ll be reviewing the condition of the bath towels with our property managers and replacing them as needed to ensure guests have quality linens during their stay.
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!
It was out 16th Anniversary and I wanted to stay somewhere we didn’t “own!” Lol. It was perfect! Cold, windy. Had issues with green wood in FP, but wasn’t a deal breaker. Perhaps they should stack the older seasoned wood on the top instead of at the bottom of the rack. All the wood was green on 90% of the stack. We ate at the local restaurants at Wintergreen. Made one reservation thru Google that didn’t take into consideration the restaurant was actually closed on our date. So had to eat at the Edge for the 2nd time that day. It was good, just not where we wanted our anniversary dinner. Made another reservation for the Copper Mine for Friday night and were very pleased with service. Thanks VRBO! Unit was in good shape. One little caveat…all the HVAC systems in all the units are sooo loud. One sounded like a washer on a super spin cycle. Still a great experience and would do it again.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Not up to standard
The unit is fine but we arrived and the hot water heater had not been turned on since the previous guests who evidently had actually turned off the hot water heater not the inlet valve. The manager responded with “directions”to do something the management team should have done to prepare the unit for incoming guest. Also no plastic liner in the kitchen garbage can or any supply of them. They were later dropped off at the door. There were inadequately cleaned dishes in the cupboards. Previous guest may have started the dishwasher as directed though hot water may have already been shut off? One set of towels had red stains on it. Did not make me confident that the unit had truly been prepared for incoming guests. Considering the hefty management fee added to the charges, I would have expected better. Unit would benefit from a permanent book of directions with pictures. There were no pool passes as promised.
