Highland games stay with the dog

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful 3-night stay here for the Highland Games! The unit was very peaceful and quiet, and the price was very affordable. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My only suggestion would be a bigger bed for the adults to share , but maybe because we are used to a kingHaving the porch right on the water was definitely a highlight. We especially loved that the porch had a doggie gate, which allowed our dog to safely enjoy the sunshine while staying within the porch area.We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

We always choose Deer Park. First time in this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great and very quiet.The appliances are all fairly new. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils.The unit has only one small couch that was sagging and uncomfortable. Both bathrooms desperately need work. The toilets are extremely low profile which are fine but very uncomfortable for folks with mobility issues.. This unit does not get a lot of natural light and general lighting is poor. The primary bedroom does not have an en-suite bathroom. But the room with the bunk beds does.

Family Friendly stay up north!

Our stay was very disappointing. When we first arrived, one of the toilets was not working. We later discovered that the TV/internet and dishwasher were also not working. Even more concerning, we found dirty dishes from the previous renters still inside the dishwasher, which had become moldy. This clearly indicated that housekeeping had not checked or properly cleaned the dishwasher.Because the dishwasher was not functioning and there was stagnant water and moldy dishes inside, we began having a significant number of small gnats around the kitchen, particularly near the dishwasher, sink, and trash. When we notified the host, we were told they were midges and that there was a townwide infestation. However, the information provided to us about the alleged midge infestation stated that they congregated around windows and doors, which did not match what we were experiencing. I spent approximately an hour cleaning the kitchen to get rid of the bugs.Maintenance was sent out on three separate occasions during our stay. While the host was nice to work with and did refund our housekeeping fee, we were told someone from management would follow up regarding our experience, and we have yet to hear from anyone.Overall, the unit is dated and in need of significant repairs and attention. The location within the resort is great, but unfortunately the condition of the unit and the number of issues we encountered made for a very disappointing stay.

Very clean and quiet. Very relaxing to sit by the river. Loved that we could bring the dogs! Plenty of room to set up dog crate. Would definitely rent here again.

1st time at this unit 10th year staying at Deer Park

We have been coming to Deer Park for over 10 years. We have rented many different units and never had a bad experience until this time. The location is great, right in the river. The unit needs lots of cleaning and updating. We were waiting inside the car at 3:40 for a 4 o’clock check in when the cleaning crew pulled up. We ran to the store to grab groceries and we’re back by 4:10 and the cleaner has left. This is a two bedroom two bath unit cleaned top to bottom in less than 30 min?!?! The unit smelled like mildew and there was black speckled mold in the bathroom. The listing states washer and dryer so I put clothes on and laundry detergent on top of the clothes. When I went to start the washing machine it wouldn’t work! The TV was not working either. I called Loon and they sent someone who said the last renters reported The washer as broken ann nb d the couldn’t fix it. It would have been nice if they put a note on the machine!

Beautiful location! River right behind deck. Quiet area with beautiful landscaping. Pool and hot tub, pond to swim or kayak in. Tennis and pickleball courts. Convenient to many restaurants and shopping, but no through traffic or shops in Deer Park itself! Slightly dated condos, but all functional and clean. Great place to vacation!

Reviewer Comments: This was a very nice, spacious condo, perched right above the Pemigewasset River. it’s in a very good location to access hikes along the Kanc and Franconia Notch. It is clean and dog friendly. However, I was informed with only a couple days to spare that the fireplace could not be used nor could the pool and jacuzzi. I only normally book rentals with fireplace or wood burning stoves for fall/winter stays. This was very disappointing as I was lead to believe these were recent developments when, in fact, there was a note in the condo dated in May of this year from the maintenance staff regarding the fireplace and residents I spoke with said they knew since July that the pool and jacuzzi repairs would not be completed in October (the month of our stay). I feel either Loon Reservation Service doesn’t stay up to date on the CORRECT amenities or I was mislead about them in order to secure the booking. Would love to stay at the condo again but would definitely confirm the operable amenities first and stipulate in the agreement that I would want full refund otherwise. The owner did refund ~$110 of the $1,400 fee for 5 nights but the whole experience was upsetting. Again, nice condo in great location in nice little resort. Sits right on I-93 but zero highway noise, only soothing river in the background.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great week because the weather was perfect. The condo wasn't the cleanest, unfortunately. None of the furniture felt clean enough to sit on. The kitchen chairs were so loose that we needed maintenance in to tighten them. Someone sat on a patio chair and it was so flimsy that it broke just from being sat on. The description mentioned one AC in the unit but we couldn't access it as it was in the owners closet (maintenance had to get it for us). Unfortunately, I would not rent this unit again.
