Leave your fast-paced life behind, unplug from your normal routine and immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful spots in Northumberland County. Slow things down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life in the country and at Haute Goat Farm.

This is glamping with a twist….spend a very comfortable night in a cozy yome with a queen-size bed. Our Yomes are tucked under an umbrella of trees and situated very near the Shiitake Forest and Huacaya Alpaca Herd. The price includes bed and breakfast for 2 adults, however this place can accommodate upto 4 adults with addition of a futon. We can accommodate additional guests at $50+hst per person with advance notice.

Prearrange in advance, the Chef's Blind Tasting Dinner in the Screaming Goat Cafe or come prepared to use the newly added Charcoal BBQs (bring your own charcoal or purchase on site.)

Guided animal experiences are sold separately. Plan your visit around a Magical Sunset Alpaca Walk or Goat Yoga. Visit our Café for breakfast lunch or dinner and check out our retail store to sample our wild scents of raw goat milk soaps.

Enjoy the peace and quiet of a country evening. Walk the farm trails as the sun sets. Relax as you watch the night sky light up with stars and when you are ready to turn in for the night head to your private space inside one of our two unique yurts.

Listen to the sounds of nature, the farm animals settling down for the night, perhaps even some coyotes off in the distance. Not a care in the world as you drift off to sleep knowing that our guardian livestock dogs will keep watch over you until daybreak.

Wake up with the sun or our rooster and enjoy a delicious locally-sourced farm-style breakfast. Watch the farm team start morning chores and witness a new day begin. Every morning on the farm is a celebration of life.

About the host

Hosted by Debbie Nightingale

Host profile image
My husband and I were both in the television industry (I still have projects in development!), but when we bought our little piece of heaven in 2007 and he retired, we bought some goats, a few horses and haven't looked back. We started a business - Haute Goat - in December 2013, celebrating all things goat, and ours in particular. And the business has grown to include tours, events and all sorts of things on the farm. The move to having a B&B was a natural one as so many people are interested in how we do, what we do.

Why they chose this property

We are situated in the spectacular rolling hills of Northumberland County. We are truly rural, though just minutes to every city amenity. Every season brings different and unique opportunities to explore and we're happy to make recommendations that relate to your interests.

What makes this property unique

Would you like a taste of being a farmer? You're welcome to join us for chores before breakfast. Come to the barn at 8am and help with feeding, cleaning and cuddling our goats, alpacas and horses. Welcome the Livestock Guardian Dogs home after their night of patrolling and give them a good hug with a 'job well done'.
