About this property

Newly finished guesthouse with gorgeous kitchen and bathroom on scenic Bird River in the Canadian Shield. Master bedroom has shared ensuite with hallway. Pellet stove for cool days/ nights. BBQ on small deck beside porch. On highest point on the road overlooking the water with beautiful views. Every window has tree’d views. Water views through the trees. Close to hiking trails and water tube parks, Old Pinawa Dam, and a large suspension bridge trail. Great trails for snowmobiles in the winter. There is an ice rink with lights and a warm up shack with a wood stove as conditions permit. There are also some walking trails on the river as well as cross country ski trails in the area.
Main cottage on property located below guesthouse. Water access is a short walk down the hill and there is a shared dock with owner. All water recreation amenities located at water edge.
There is a store nearby at Tall Timber with full selection of beer, wine, or spirits as well as limited food and snacks, as well as bait for fishing.

Great cozy cabin in the woods.

The cabin was a great getaway, with everything needed for a relaxing stay (even a nice wine cooler, but no microwave). The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The walk down to the river was steeper than expected, but was fine with sturdy shoes.

A perfect weekend getaway

After searching high and low for a short-term, weekend getaway, we stumbled across this gem! This place ticked off all my boxes. Although the weather didn't entirely work in our favour, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful views from the property, and relax in a clean, cozy, & modern little cabin. Also really appreciated all the amenities that were accessible to us, which definitely made our stay more fun and enjoyable! Thank you to our very accommodating hosts! Would definitely stay here again!

Very nIce property.

Modern and absolutely spotless cabin. Hosts were friendly and responsive to our questions. Swings and slides if you have little ones. A caution if you,re an older senior.The waterfront is less than 150 yards downhill from cabin but you need two good legs to get back up the steep mostly paved incline from water to cabin. Over all I,d give the property a high rating.
