Bloomfield, also knows as Pittsburgh's "Little Italy", is a neighborhood that prides itself on its history and middle-class workers. As most Little Italy's do, it offers top-notch restaurants that includes Angelo's, Alexander's Italian Bistro, and Tessaro's. Renters here love the area because it's extremely walkable, safe, and catching public transit via the bus is easy since it runs down Liberty Ave, the main street in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood is definitely walkable.

Parking is tough. Your best bet is to park in the garage at Children's. If you are lucky enough to land a spot on Woolslayer or one of the two side streets, Main St. and Friendship Ave., read the street signs carefully to avoid getting a ticket!
We welcome your infants and children, but please be advised of the open stairwells, especially leading to the basement.

As advertised

This property is a modest, attached, older row house in an alley. Owners have made updates to provide a fresh environment but it is an older place so have realistic expectations. Needed a place to crash two nights so it was perfect—more room than needed. Living room furniture isn’t super comfy but we just watched tv for an hour one night. 2 min walk to the hospital and neighborhood restaurants or easy walk down the hill to a bigger selection. Parking at hospital was convenient enough and 20 bucks is worth it as the rental is reasonable for 3 rooms. This place really fit the bill.

Perfect Location for Children's Hospital.

VERY convenient location to stay in if you have a family member at the Children's Hospital. The neighbors can be a bit noisy but having close proximity to the hospital is the priority and a little noise is nothing. The space is large, clean, and very comfortable. We will be staying again during our time here.
