Rich in both history and charm, this building was once the home of Mrs. Wilkes, proprietress of the famous Boarding House and still-operational Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. This third floor apartment offers a unique accommodations for up to four Lucky guests. You’ll wake up every morning to beautiful Jones Street, where cobblestones and ancient oak trees dripping in Spanish moss compelled Southern Living Magazine to name it the “Prettiest Street in America.”

The original hardwood floors and 12’ ceilings will give you a sense of stepping back in time, while the tasteful interior decor and modern amenities provide all the luxuries of staying at hotel - with more room. The large living room has plenty of space and comfortable seating. The galley kitchen opens to the dining room. You’ll find everything you need to cook a full meal, or just enjoy a cup of coffee while you plan your day.

The bedroom offers a king sized, four poster bed, and the dresser and closet provide plenty of space. The ensuite bath has a tub/shower combo, vanity with sink and a separate vanity ideal for getting ready for a night out.

Wilkes Three is an ideal location to call home while exploring the Historic District. Located in the middle of our bustling Design District, stylish shops dot the streets among several historic homes open for touring, including the Mercer Williams House and the childhood home of Flannery O’Connor. With a three night or longer say, you’ll receive one free lunch for two at Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room, where you’ll dine like a local and feel like family!

Parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or park on a nearby non-metered street. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

*Guests receive one free lunch for two with every three-night or more booking. The restaurant is typically closed for the month of January. Please contact the Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant directly regarding open and seasonal hours as these may vary. In the event of restaurant closure, we are unable to offer refunds but guests are welcome to use the lunch voucher on your next visit!

Celebrated my girl’s birthday. Someone so in love with history that the Jones Street Retreat brought her to tears. Everything was within walking distance. So beautiful and so safe. We’ll definitely be looking forward to our return trip.

Such a beautiful place and location!

We had such a wonderful stay at Wilkes 3! The location was probably one of the prettiest streets in Savannah and very close to everything we wanted to see. The apartment itself was beautiful and clean and the hosts were so responsive and easy to contact when we did run into a couple very minor issues. We went for a friends trip and it was the perfect home base for us in Savannah! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay!

We were able to park our car in a garage nearby and walk to River Street and the parks, etc. We walked everywhere and used Uber twice late at night. If you can, definitely eat at Mrs. Wilkes downstairs - it will be a meal you will never forget. We highly recommend staying here and definitely recommend taking the trolley tour where you can get on and off. The management company is outstanding!

Girls trip to Savannah.

There was no instructions on where to put the linens, where the carriage house was for the trash, and what to set the thermostat to. There was food under the couch and a tack on the rug. The refrigerator handles were dirty as well as the lid to the trash can. I’ve stayed at several vbro’s with a long list of to dos. It is really helpful. We also didn’t get our voucher to Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant. That was disappointing. The location was wonderful as well as the neighborhood.

And this appartement, in the heart of the historic district was perfectly in sync with the overall city atmosphere, as we had the impression to live as real Savannah inhabitants. The appartement, pretty huge, has plenty of charm, decorated and furnished with taste in all rooms including bathroom and kitchen. The voucher to access Mrs Wicles restaurant, located in the basement was a real plus to cut the impressive queue forming every day at lunchtime. We really experienced and enjoyed here the delicious simple and true Southern cooking as well as the warm sense of hospitality. Despite the WiFi connection not always very stable, all was perfect. Definitely a recommended address for current and future Savannah lovers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all, there is a fan in one of the closets!! This is important to those that like fans when they sleep. There are not fans in the rooms. I loved our stay in Lucky Savannah! We wandered around the town, by foot, because the location is an easy walk to wherever you need. I recommend going to the City of Savannah office to purchase a daily parking pass, if you will be there on week days. Weekend parking was free. Also look for certain sides of the road to have street sweeping on certain days. You have to move your car. It’s all very do-able!We really liked the charm of our rental, the space was fine for our family of 4. There is not a door between the bedroom and living room though. That’s really all I would change about the entire condo! We had lunch at Mrs Wilkes the last afternoon we were there and really enjoyed it! I highly recommend Lucky Savannah. The price, comfort and location are A+++!

The rental is very cutely decorated, has everything we needed for our long weekend there. Also, we had dinner downstairs at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room- (got to go in the back door to avoid the line) it was the highlight meal of our trip- cannot be skipped! Would definitely stay here again.
