Cozy waterfront ski/summer retreat with spectacular amenities on property

It was a pleasure hosting Sue at our property. Sue was an excellent guest. She was courteous, respectful, and very easy to communicate with throughout her stay. She took great care of the suite and left everything exceptionally clean and tidy. We truly appreciate guests who treat our home with such care and consideration. We would be pleased to host Sue again.

• We are sorry to hear this guest was disappointed with her stay. However, we feel it is important to provide some clarification. • Communication was primarily by email because she did not have a cellphone. On several occasions, we requested a call with her daughter, but the guest chose not to proceed. • There were no pre-existing maintenance issues. Low water pressure in one bathroom was resolved by a plumber. • The suite was thoroughly cleaned and inspected before the guest’s arrival. She reported that a toilet was not clean but provided no additional information. • We were informed during registration that there would be five guests, but the original reservation was for four. • The required final payment was not made before arrival, and an extension was requested only after the guest had entered the property. • After departure, we discovered several damaged and missing items that had not been reported. We didn’t charge the guest. • At checkout, the key was returned to the lockbox, but the numbers were left set to the combination rather than scrambled, leaving the key accessible. We considered this a serious security concern. • The guest requested a partial refund because of the inconvenience. Unexpected issues can occur. We did not agree a refund was warranted given we had taken steps to resolve the concerns raised and made every effort to promptly accommodate her. • We would not rent to this guest again
