We understand that a basement unit does come with some unique features such as lower ceilings, and we do our best to make guests aware ahead of time with clear signage and details in our listing. We also appreciate your note on the sounds of family life above—our home is full of warmth (and little feet!), though we always strive to minimize any disruptions with provided white noise machines, soft ear plugs and enforced quiet hours as much as possible. We’re grateful for your feedback, as it helps future guests know what to expect, and it gives us the chance to keep improving. From the owner: Thank you so much for the detailed and thorough review! This is all such very helpful information on ways that we can improve our guest experience. Perhaps instead of the sticky notes, we could provide a small notebook or laminated sheet with guest notes, etc.? I’ll keep working on it!And noted on the deck of cards. It’s next on my shopping list :-) I’m so glad you and your wife enjoyed your stay in our little piece of Cleveland here on the west side. It truly is one of my favorite neighborhoods I’ve ever lived in, and I am even more appreciative that you both (among many other guests) have also taken notice of the details and hard work we put into our cozy space to ensure as much comfort and accommodation as possible. We look forward to hosting you both again soon in the future on your next trip to the near West side!If anything, you are always more than welcome to spend a few hours with our husky Shepherd Salt. He’s always up for belly rubs and a few treats.
