Nestled in a quiet spot a very short walk from the popular Dickson Wetlands, Dickson shops and the new light rail system.
The house is in beautiful condition and includes a private sunny front deck and courtyard which flows off the main living area. There is also a separate outdoor gazebo area.
Ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling add year round comfort.
This house has multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, separate bedrooms, and separate bathrooms / laundry.
BEDROOM: The house has a 4 bedrooms: Bedroom 1: Queen-sized bed Bedroom 2: King-sized bed Bedroom 3: Double-sized bed Bedroom 4: Single-sized bed
All beds are topped with professionally cleaned and pressed linen. All bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space for your luggage.
BATHROOM: First bathroom: Toilet and shower Second bathroom: Toilet, shower, and bath.
We provide bath towels, shampoo, condition, toilet paper and body wash.
KITCHEN: You can use the kitchen if you`re craving for a home-cooked meal. While you stay you will have access to the following: - fridge/freezer - stovetop - oven - microwave - toaster - crockery and cutlery
We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays.
LIVING ROOM: The living room has a TV that you can use to access your Netflix and YouTube accounts. It also has access to all local channels. Note that we don`t provide Netflix, YouTube and other online streaming platforms subscriptions so you will have to use your own account.
LAUNDRY AREA: A washer and dryer are available to use, as well as an iron and ironing board.
PARKING: The driveway parking can fit up to 1 car. Additional parking on the grass verge between the street and where the car spot (Front of property).
NB: Please do not park at the start of the driveway as you will block the tenants in the flat at the back. Park at the driveway you see to your left.
GARDENING: Gardening is scheduled every 4 weeks, weather permitting, and completed when the garden can be accessed without a key—always ensuring guest comfort and privacy.
Check-in details will be sent two days before your arrival. Access codes will be provided 4 hours before check-in to keep your booking secure.
The property can be accessed using an electronic code for the door. Although I am just a message away if you need help checking in.
I am available mostly through Airbnb messaging but I give privacy to my guests. If there is an urgent issue, you can always call me.
I have been living in Canberra for quite some time now and can help you navigate your way around the local area if you need. I can also provide you with any tips on the best places to go for food or just to have fun!
From this peaceful, friendly neighborhood it is just steps to all the shops and restaurants of the vibrant Dickson centre. A wide choice of sought-after primary, secondary schools and colleges are all within walking distance. A network of bike paths, as well as light rail, ensure a smooth trip into the City centre.
Close to shops and tram, and the very popular Dickson Wetlands, right in the heart of the Inner North! It also boasts a serious range of features including multiple indoor and outdoor living areas

**Check-In & Check-Out** - Check-in: from 3:00 PM | Check-out: by 10:00 AM - Need a little flexibility? Reach out in advance and we`ll do our best to accommodate. Please note that unauthorised late departures incur a $110/hour fee.
**No Smoking | No Pets** This is a smoke-free and pet-free home throughout. Violations attract a minimum $400 fee plus any additional cleaning costs. Registered service animals are welcome where required by law.
**Leave It as You Found It** Your cleaning fee covers standard turnover and fresh linen. We simply ask that you leave the space tidy — excessive mess may attract an additional cleaning charge (from $50).
**Registered Guests Only** Only guests named on the booking may stay. Booking for a team or corporate trip? Just let us know in advance — we`re happy to help.
**No Parties or Events** This is a quiet residential neighbourhood — please help us respect it. Guest numbers must not exceed those booked, visitors should depart by 10:00 PM, and quiet hours apply after that time. To maintain the serene ambiance of our accommodation, we enforce a strict no-party rule. A non-negotiable penalty of $2000 will be imposed for any violation, in addition to costs for any damages.
**Families Welcome** Children are warmly welcome! Please note the property is not child-proofed, so supervision is required at all times.
**Bathroom Matters** We kindly request our guests to refrain from flushing wet wipes, paper towels, or sanitary items. Discarding them in the provided bin would help to prevent blockages in the sewer system, maintaining the pristine condition of the property.

We as an adult family came together from Tasmania, Melbourne and Adelaide to have a holiday for a week in Canberra. Easy access to where ever we wanted to go. Clean place to relax, play family board games in down time. Close to shops for eating out or buying from supermarket. A short walk or drive away. Comfortable and not pokey.

We arrived late on a Friday night and found that the shower screen was a large pane of jagged smashed glass. The glass had mostly been cleaned but there were still bits of loose broken glass scattered. This was an unacceptable safety hazard - we are lucky nobody got hurt as we arrived to a scene of broken glass with no warning. It was also significantly inconvenient. All 6 people were forced to use the 1 small ensuite removing privacy from that bedroom. The host has not responded to address our concerns except to say they would fix it (which they didn’t) - and the instruction not to use the bathroom. It is bizarre that they let us walk in there without knowing about the broken glass. They must have known from the cleaner at least - because most of the loose glass had obviously been cleaned - leaving only a few bits of loose glass (which is still totally unacceptable) and a large pane of jagged broken glass. We are exploring our options to report the host for renting the place in such an unacceptable condition.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The shower screen has now been fully repaired, and signage was placed immediately afterward to ensure guest safety. Your safety is our top priority, and we acted promptly to address the issue. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for staying with CanStay.
We had an ok time at this property. The house was functional but basic and tired. The fixtures and fittings were low quality (wood effect flooring, tiny bathroom, uncomfortable sofas). The heating was loud and seemed to bang periodically as it switched on and off, day and night. The bathroom door kept locking itself and instead of fixing it, the owners left instructions on how to remove the handle fitting to disconnect the lock. Lastly the queen bed either had a broken frame or a sloping mattress which resulted in an uncomfortable bed. All of these points collectively made for a less than optimal stay. The most annoying thing about our stay was that it was significantly over priced (close to $900 a night including ‘host fees’). This left us feeling underwhelmed by the property. We won’t be staying here again.

A trying time
We were in Canberra from interstate to visit a dying relative (my Mother) and my father who has advanced dementia.
I wanted a rental that was straightforward and fit for the purpose of visiting a dying relative from interstate.
I was bombarded with requests for detail on existing damage to the post box and then requests to undertake maintenance action for an intermittent smoke alarm.
The contact with the host through the messaging service was clumsy and did not allow for quick contact when it was needed most.
The check in process seemed to assume that i had bad intent.
Whilst the property itself was fine, the service was not fit for the purpose for which we rented it - ie to facilitate family access to a dying relative.
Altogether it was a trying time and I would not choose anything that was listed by CANBNB if there were an alternative.
