Beach Vacation

My family had a wonderful time on this beach vacation! The location was fantastic. Just a short walk out the door right to the pier and on the beach in minutes. The view from the balcony made spending time outside so relaxing. We even saw some dolphins. The pool was very nice and clean. It was the perfect size for our family of three.

This condo was in a great location right outside of the main strip. Wasn’t overcrowded, nice beach, nice pool, and the condo was top notch with a great view. Will definitely be staying again!

Not renovated, old, rundown, unclean

This place IS NOT renovated. The paint on the ceiling is cracked throughout the condo. The appliances are old, look at the pictures. It still looks like that. The furnishings are over 30 years old, and were cheap when new. Look at which way the fridge opens. What you don’t see is the dented, scratched up, rusty side of the fridge. I don’t know if it’s rust spots or grunge on the ceilings and doors. It’s not even that the appliances were old and rusty, or that the dishes in the cabinet weren’t clean (the detergent holder in the dishwasher is missing it’s cap so the detergent sticks to the bottom of the dishwasher), or the stained, probably unclean bedding. The management company dropped the ball. We asked if we could have a later check-out time, they said “no”, which is fine, but when my husband opened our door 10 minutes before checkout to take our luggage down, there was the housekeeper to make sure we left by 9. We decided to extend our trip by a few days but went somewhere else with different management. I'm so turned off by this condo that I wouldn’t want to stay in that complex again or rent through Southern.

Great beach, outdated condo complex

Complex feels tired and outdated—underwhelming. Needs a lot of updating to have any significant curb appeal. First beach rental I have ever been to that had not washer/dryer in the unit. Our unit was clean and attractively furnished, but the kitchen faucet was loose and the furniture knobs in the bedroom were loose: I was worried something was going to break off and I would be charged for it. Oh, and the bedroom curtains are so thin that they let in too much light for sleeping past 6:45 in the morning. However, the only bad thing about our stay was that we had to leave two days early due to a sudden medical problem my wife had developed. Don’t get me wrong: there are much worse places in the area to stay, but this one was just sort of middle-of-the-road.

Pensacola Beach

Complex is in a wonderful location and layout of this condo was exceptional. Unfortunately the dishes were not clean when we arrived and trash can had dried food in the bottom. The dishwasher detergent dispenser was broken - maybe that is why the dishes were not clean? The deck was nice but near an air conditioner vent so it was noisy. All this is acceptable, but the deal breaker was the dirt or black mold on the ceiling.

Needs some attention

Overall the unit was in good condition but the shower curtain was moldy and needs to be cleaned or replaced. And one of the two beds was extremely uncomfortable to the point our back ached for 2 days.

White sands of Pensacola

We had a little hiccup at the start of the trip. The water went out in the complex. The Southern Vacations team was fast to react and had a secondary place ready, but the water was up and running when we got there. We enjoyed the view from the balcony, looking right over the beach. The weather was pleasant the entire stay and we had fun exploring the restaurants up and down the street., I felt that this was a great value and would recommend to my family and friends .

Very comfortable and clean condo right on the beach.

We really enjoyed renting this condo. The pool was a great break from the waves, and the walk to the beach was short. There are chair rentals in front of the condo as well. The condo itself was well equipped with everything you would need. I didn't read the description well enough to know there isn't a washer/dryer, which may have made a longer trip difficult. We will definitely rent this property again!

my only negatives are no handicapped ramp on walkway to beach. Very difficult for my 79 yr old mother & with beach wagon! Also, sand needed to be leveled & packed down by tractor with a blade as I have always seen on other beachers. .EXTREMELY difficult for walking!!!

We enjoyed our stay and the view was perfect. I do think the property needs some tlc and some maintenance. Shower head is gross and walls/ceiling were damaged. We found mold in the shower and shower curtains. We found it frustrating when trying to communicate with the property manager, that each time we were directed to a number to call instead.

Heaven after two years of no travel!

This was our first "big" trip since the pandemic and it was perfect. You absolutely can't beat the location. The three sets of patio doors are what actually sold us and we spent EVERY moment we could on the balcony! We saw dolphins, Blue Angel planes, and collected tons of shells to leave with the display in the condo. My only disappointment was that the overpass to the beach wasn't accessible during our stay (redoing it). Also, the living room furniture could use replacing because you sink into it (and never want to leave!). Comfy beds, clean, and all the comforts of home. I hope we will be back!!
