Stay away!

Communication with the host was horrible, I reached out to VRBO several times to find out what was going on. We received our check-in information after the check-in time, only because I had to reach out to the host. Upon arriving at the location, the door to the stairs was covered in spray paint, The stairway and hallways smelled horrible of smoke, before we got to our room, we were greeted with the neighbors downstairs telling us to keep the noise down, we were not making any more noise than your standard walking and climbing upstairs, they also came to our door at 12:30 AM to tell us to make sure we don’t have our shoes on in the morning because they don’t want to hear us walking around. The apartments stunk of smoke, the balcony was disgusting, it was full of trash, there was a litter box with green moldy water in it. The host reached out to let me know that In 15 minutes a dryer repair man was going to be there even though the dryer was working while so much more in this apartment needed to be fixed. An exterior door didn’t lock, I did not want the repair man in the unit during the time that we had paid, especially with only 15 minutes notice. When the repair man came, he had the host on speakerphone because he couldn’t get into the bathroom to fix the dryer because someone was in the shower, they both seem extremely annoyed. The only good thing about this place is the location but overall, it was very dirty, very smelly, it was extremely rundown and neglected

The stay was absolutely horrible. Me and my family were staying at canada to visit my wifes sister, this apartment we booked was absolutely filthy. When we first arrive at the area its location already looked sketchy, there were people smoking and it was dirty, while we were walking up to our room it got even worse. The place was disgusting and it had this awful cigarette smell even though it said where we booked "no smoking area". But we finally got to the room and we were extremely disappointed. The place was disgusting, from the awful cigarette smell to how the rooms were unclean with spider webs and dust all over the place. We couldn't even stay in the room for 15 minutes since my children started to cough and sneeze at the dust and smell. But it got worse when the owner was very ignorant about our concerns over the place, it was a diffuclt proccess trying to communicate with him since he was completely unprofessional and was very disrespectful to us. It took several days and we didn't even get a refund nor discount even though we did not stay the night! He doesnt answer the phone or emails and he doesnt answer his employees too. Do not stay at this filthy place, it is not worth your time or your money. It was disgusting and we were ignored countless times by the careless owner. It was a horrible and tiring experience overall. If your staying at Montréal STAY AT A HOTEL! it is much cleaner and they will listen to your concerns, better than getting apartments like these.
