The grass did grow faster than usual during a particularly wet stretch in July, ahead of the regular mowing schedule. As for wildlife, this cabin sits in a wooded setting where chiggers, ticks, and snakes are part of the natural surroundings, though we rarely see snakes in the yard itself. This past July, with the climate and yard maintenance, there were a few. However, that was an unusual month for us. And the snakes typically seen in the area are in the woods and harmless black snakes that help keep rodents in check. We appreciate you letting us know how things went and hope this gives a clearer picture for anyone considering a stay in this forest setting.
