River Rock Cottage Is Located On The Shore Of Lake Superior On Chequamegon Bay.

River Rock Cottage is a smoke-free cottage located approximately 3 miles east of Ashland, Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior giving you one of the most beautiful views of Chequamegon Bay and the Apostle Islands.
Keeping with our River Rock outdoor theme decor, this cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room, dining room, fully-furnished kitchen, and outside grill. Two flat panel TVs with satellite for your entertainment. Free DSL/WiFi.
For those who love to fish, we have great year ‘round fishing on Chequamegon Bay and Lake Superior, where we cater to both open water and ice fishing. The cabin also caters to duck hunters, deer hunters as well as being a great vacation place for the family to just relax and watch the sunset.
We provide: Bedding & linens, towels, shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer, shower gel, hand soap & lotion – the same amenities as a hotel. In the kitchen we provide: Dishwasher, dish soap, napkins, paper towels, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, basically everything you have in your own kitchen. We even provide the salt & pepper. All you will need is the food to cook and maybe that special spice to pleasure your palate.

This was a wonderful property to stay at while exploring the area. We actually wanted to do less exploring and more hanging at the house as there were so many neat things to do-we especially loved the sauna and fire pit building, and swimming in Lake Superior. Our recent stay was absolutely fabulous! The cabin was beautiful—spacious, well-furnished, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was clear that a lot of care went into making the space comfortable and accommodating for guests of any size family. The views of the bay were breathtaking, and the setting itself was peaceful and serene. We especially enjoyed the sunsets over the bay and the local wildlife—watching eagles nesting nearby, turkeys strolling through the yard, and even catching sight of a black bear crossing the road. It was truly an amazing stay!

Great stay on the bay

Place was great. Scott and the river rock team were great as well. After long days trying to find fish on the ice, the sauna and outdoor fire were the perfect way to warm up and relax. Highly recommended!

Peaceful spot on the Bay

Everything was very welcoming and comfortable. Nice amenities and furnishings including life jackets, cut firewood, indoor fire pit away from house, nicely laid out bedrooms that held two families very comfortably. Peaceful country location close enough to Bayfield for outings and cruises.

Great Family Location

Had multiple families together for a short getaway and we had a great time! The home is spacious and set up for larger groups. The outdoor fireplace and screened room were fantastic since the bugs were out in force, but to be expected with a wet summer in the woods. :) Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
