Shhh.. Do you want to know a secret? Sometimes we need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and allow ourselves to relax, rejuvenate, reset and reconnect with nature. This stunning wooden house was built by an antique dealer, a relative of Sir Francis Drake, who incorporated lead crystal doors and features, including sash window seats, from a period house built in the 1800’s. We offer luxury, a focus on wellness and have decorated the house with our forest flora and fauna in mind. Welcome to your home away from home, where relaxation and rejuvenation are at the heart of your stay. Your hosts reside at the back of the property and are available to help plan your daily activities, dining options, and ensure you make the most of your time here, so you can focus on enjoying quality moments with your friends or family. Indulge in luxurious amenities such as orthopedic mattresses, anti-allergen quilts and pillows, 1000-thread-count cotton bedsheets, and spacious showers made for two. Soft, plush cotton towels and a selection of locally sourced natural essential oil toiletries create a spa-like experience that lets you unwind in nature, with essential oils that will take you deeper into the serenity of our gardens and forest. From a wellness perspective, we offer essential oil diffusers, wellness magazines, inspirational quotes, and your own private onsite treatment room, ensuring you can fully immerse in a healing and peaceful environment. Relax in our inviting lounge, complete with a large bookcase filled with our personal books, board games, jigsaws, a smart TV with Netflix, DVD & CD player, and a Playstation Kinect. During the winter, cozy up by the wood burner and enjoy the gentle crackle of the fire. Step outside to discover our tranquil fountain gardens and a spacious undercover veranda featuring comfy outdoor seating and a gas BBQ – perfect for alfresco dining. Our new kitchen was added in 2025 and has everything you need to cook family meals for eight guests.
