Escape to a Blue Lake Lodge, a spacious cabin with a guesthouse that sets on 10+ secluded acres next to the Lincoln National Forest. Don’t forget your pets, because they are welcome too! Blue Lake Lodge is on the northeast side of Ruidoso, close enough to town for easy access, but far enough away that your vacation getaway seems truly private. Best of all, you have breathtaking views of Sierra Blanca Peak.
Blue Lake Lodge is a seven-bedroom, six-bathroom, air-conditioned dream cabin that can sleep 18 comfortably. It’s perfect for a family reunion in the mountains. Whatever time of year you visit, we encourage you to come in a high profile, four-wheel-drive vehicle. The last half-mile of Forest Road 120A is gravel with a steep pitch leading to the cabin. Once you arrive at Blue Lake Lodge, you’ll find plenty of parking for your group out front.
When you walk inside Blue Lake Lodge, the beauty of the home’s interior will amaze you. Vaulted and beamed ceilings are complemented by a stone fireplace and log walls. You’ll want to toss your bags down and settle into the comfortable couch and loveseat. The Southwestern décor is so cozy and through your large windows and glass doors, you have a view of the deck and forest beyond. Blue Lake Lodge has a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room. Gather your group to watch a favorite movie. There’s also free Wi-Fi within the home that makes it so convenient to send photos to friends.
You’ll spend many a pleasant hour enjoying the sights, sounds, and pine scent of the mountains from your expansive deck.
One thing you’ll notice in the mountains: you and your guests will have hearty appetites. Whether it’s all the exercise and activity or just the altitude when mealtime arrives your gang will be ready to gobble down whatever you can provide. Fortunately, you have a dream kitchen at hand with massive gas stove, a full complement of appliances, cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils. Gather ingredients in a Ruidoso market and whip up your favorite dishes with ease. You have a gas grill out on the upper deck in case you want to cook up some burgers or steaks.
You can serve your crew around the large, circular dining room table. With windows facing the forest on two walls, you’ll feel like nature is an extra guest at your table. Before you sit down for dinner, head out onto your large deck to watch the sun set over the mountains as you enjoy an evening cocktail. You may see a deer or some chipmunks scurry past on their way to their forest homes.
The main house at Blue Lake Lodge includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Go upstairs to find the primary bedroom and two guest rooms. Downstairs are two additional guest bedrooms, plus a handy extra kitchen, and gathering area with leather couch, TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. Just like the upper level, the lower living area offers beautiful views of the forest and mountains.
The primary suite includes a king-sized bed and a primary bathroom with glass block shower and large vanity that will make getting ready a true pleasure each day.
It is such an appreciated convenience for each of the bedrooms in the main house to have a private bathroom. There’s no waiting around for a turn in the shower.
Blue Lake Lodge has its own laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer and soaking sink. No matter how dirty your family’s clothes get hiking, skiing, or riding horses, you’ll be able to keep them in clean attire throughout your stay.
About 50 yards from the main house is the guesthouse. It has its own cozy living room with TV and comfortable furniture, a full kitchen, bathroom, and two comfortable bedrooms.
Both of the bedrooms is outfitted with a queen-sized bed. This second guesthouse bedroom is the ideal place to put up any kids traveling with you to the mountains. They’ll have a ball in this room with a great view of the forest out large windows.
Bring your family or friends to the New Mexico mountains and experience the forest’s beauty as only Ruidoso can deliver it. Book your stay at Blue Lake Lodge today!

It was a great house !! Felt like we are staying on a giant ranch..woke up every morning with a wild horse at our window..Just wish they would replace queen size beds with king size beds ..

You are definitely getting a large house with a great view! And we appreciate that they addressed the minor hot tub situation right away with helpful communication. Bravo there and thank you!For the price, we were surprised that the beds were not great, there was wear and tear throughout the house (including broken railings on the 2nd floor porch), and it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. If you looked deeper than just the sink or tub, it was dirty, trash unchanged, or items left under beds, etc. Lastly, there was a lack of amenities for 14 people staying in a large home. Although a few items were provided, with 14 people eating, using toilet paper, etc., we bought trash bags, dish soap - basic items that would have been helpful to have on-hand. For the price, this was a surprise.
This home is beautiful with fantastic views! The road to get to the remote cabin is rocky- but that reduces the amount of traffic. We will definitely plan on staying here again!

We appreciate the wonderful review. See you next time!
Very nice and spacious cabin with super views of the Sierra Blanca mountains. Very peaceful with lots of room to roam and explore. The only drawback is the road up to the cabin was a little treacherous. But worth the drive up!
The road was rough to get there. The place should have more t. v s and a bigger one in the family room.

This was our 2nd time at this beautiful property! We all enjoyed our own rooms with bathrooms, and all the room of the 2 full living areas. WOW! We were able to ride our motorcycles right out of the properties driveway and ride for hours in the Lincoln National Forest. Meals are a breeze with the huge kitchen and outdoor grill. Lots of deck room and of course the amazing hot tub and its views we spectacular! We will return again!

One of the most impressive things about this property where the views. My family and I watch the sunset every night we were there. We also loved the hot tub and Lookout point. Having the two separate houses worked out well. My older children enjoyed being able to use it to get away from the younger kids. We had several couples on this trip and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed having the multiple levels with separate kitchens. I was very pleased with the property and would recommend it to friends and family.

The appearance of the property was beautiful. It “looked” clean but it was not. The floor looked like it wasn’t even vacuumed the couch on the main floor was disgusting, there was dog hair all over the beds. The air conditioner in the guest house didn’t work, and there was no hot water either. The kitchen refrigerator downstairs in the main house was broken. And for some reason instead of leaving bathroom products in the master bath there were 2 packages of dishwasher detergent. They need to look into a new cleaning company and perform a major inspection to this property. There were quite a few outlets in the kitchen that did not work as well. If this property was properly cared for it would be an excellent choice to rent. The views were amazing and it had a bed for everyone that joined our trip.

This place was awesome for my family reunion in the mountains. The trek up there was a bit intense as it's very rocky, however, the view from the top was absolutely stunning. I also loved that there were no other houses around which allowed us to turn the music up as loud as we wanted. My family has already asked me to book this again for next summer because we absolutely loved it.

Thanks for the feedback, Maria! We always love hearing back from our guests, for any reason, really, but particularly when they've had an enjoyable stay. The road is a little precarious, but we agree... it's worth it once you get up there and realize all that the property has to offer. :) Hope to see you next time! -The Condotel Staff
Our family vacation to Ruidoso for Thanksgiving was so enjoyable because of this property. All of the family was comfortable and happy with having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The layout is a lot of fun for the kids to run around and explore. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a perfect Thanksgiving dinner along with seating for everyone. The fireplace got tons of use as well. The road up was a bit bumpy but nothing we weren’t prepared for or couldn’t handle with our trucks. We pulled a trailer loaded with four wheelers up it no problem! It was a blast exploring the Lincoln National Forest that backs up to the property. The kids really enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife while out riding and from looking out the many windows inside the home. Can definitely see us returning for another stay. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us for this special holiday trip.

Mountain house
We liked staying here. It was great to see the animals every morning. But the house could have been deep cleaned better. There was still crumbs on the kitchen counters and the smell of food. I guess from the previous renter. There was still food on the kitchen floors that were not swept up. If a cleaning company is used then I would suggest finding someone else!
The outside patio needed some furniture. It would have been nice to be outside to eat and have coffee.
The road up to the house was crazy! They need to try to fix it better. We were in a truck and it was still pretty bad.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We have made notes of the items you mentioned for follow up; we are sorry to hear about the cleaning issues. We hope you will stay again.
The house is beautiful and the views are amazing. That is the saving grace for the home. The rental did not feel worth the amount of money we paid to stay here. We paid almost 4K to stay for 4 days and felt ripped off. The couch is absolutely disgusting, please clean it or get a new couch. The sheets are itchy and rough, pillows are flat and old. I don’t think anyone in the family slept well one night. I think the boxes for the TV’s were extremely old, like 20yrs old. No wonder the Tv in the master was stuck on one channel. Overall we just felt disappointed by the amount of money we paid for what we received. Again, it’s a beautiful property and great for big families, but details matter. When you pay that much money, sheets should be clean/high quality, pillows should be decent, and you should be able to sit on the furniture without feeling dirty afterwards. We would stay here again if updates and improvements were made.

lindo lugar
un Lugar muy bonito, para pasar en familia, muy grande y muy amplio
The house was beautiful, pictures don’t do it justice! Plenty of towels were provided and the living and dining area was a perfect set up to keep a big group together for games and entertainment. The location was nice and secluded however the drive up the road was very bumpy with a lot of huge rocks to be careful of. You need a tall vehicle to get there without fear of car damage.
Cabin was great for our group: 4 parents and 12 kids of various ages. The kitchen was perfect for cooking all our meals. I do recommended they add a Keurig coffee maker. The road is rough but our vans got up just fine. Great layout for a big group.
We enjoyed our stayed, the only thing is that the pictures showed one room with two bunk beds, which ended up being just a queen bed.
The road to the house during the winter is rough. You do need 4x4 or chains. Will return for sure.

Spacious
Spacious and comfortable as can be.
The few issues I ran across were :
I was not given an access code to the conjoined cabin so I was unable to access it until about five hours after check in.
There was no propane for the grill
There was no deck furniture for the outside deck so we could not use it.
Getting a hold of someone through both the phone line and emergency line was not possible. The maintenance man eventually called us back to resolve the key pad issue.
Other than these minor issues cabin was beautiful and equiped with everything a family can need.

Hi, Yvette! I wanted to reach out and thank you for your patience during check-in. We always expect our guests to have a hassle-free stay, and we'll be sure to review this case with our service department.
We enjoyed ourselves place was plenty big enough. My only suggestion would be letting us know about dirt rocky road to get to house. We figured it out had good family get away
The location was great! Away from traffic, and high in the mountain. The road up was kind of scary the first time going up which isn’t explained in any of the descriptions, I could only imagine how it is during the snow. Two rooms were located in a guest house, which was kind of a setback considering we wanted “family time” and needed to decide who would have to sleep in the separate house. The guest house also had the room with the bunk beds, so if traveling with kids take into consideration that the bunk bed room isn’t in the main home.
Other than that, the cleanliness the space and THAT VIEW! was great. I would def recommend, and def visit again just without counting on two rooms in a separate cabin.
Thank you so much for this 5-star review. We really appreciate you being a customer and helping to share the word about us. We’re here for you anytime.
