This spacious vacation home features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the scenic 20-minute drive to Whitefish Mountain Resort for skiing and direct access to nearby hiking trails. The large outdoor deck, quaint loft area, and downstairs TV room are sure to please! Plus, this home is only 15 minutes from historic downtown Whitefish.

Nestled in the heart of Montana's secluded scenery is this gorgeous 2-story home with a loft. Wood floors, tall ceilings, and large windows create a bright ski lodge atmosphere surrounded by stunning forest and mountain views. The open floor plan offers a spacious living area with plush furnishings in front of a beautiful, stacked stone fireplace and TV. The vibrant kitchen features high-end appliances, granite counters, and everything necessary to prepare a home-cooked meal. An adjacent dining area seats up to 8 guests around a traditional dining table, with 3 additional seats at the breakfast bar. Enjoy beautiful Montana weather on the lovely deck off the great room, with comfy outdoor furniture, an alfresco dining table, and a BBQ grill. When it's time to retire for the night, head to the primary bedroom on this floor, boasting a queen bed, fireplace, private bathroom, and private deck access.

Upstairs is a beautiful reading nook and office area in the open loft. The lower level of this home is ideal for cozy family gatherings and fun-filled game nights. Sit back and relax on the leather sofas in the TV area while playing board games or enjoying a movie. A convenient daybed provides extra accommodations for last-minute guests. With 2 guest bedrooms featuring queen beds—and a bonus bunk room with a twin-over-twin bed—there's ample space for family and friends to rest. There's even a laundry room for added convenience.

Northwoods Escape provides all the comforts needed for a tremendous Montana getaway. With ample on-site parking, exploring the surrounding area, including City Beach (15 mins.) and Glacier National Park (1 hour), is easy. Getting around Whitefish is free and easy via the S.N.O.W. Bus—a free shuttle service that takes visitors throughout Whitefish and up to Big Mountain during peak ski and Summer seasons. Book now!

Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!

Summer in Glacier

We had 6 adults who slept comfortably and enjoyed our accommodations. It was a quiet and peaceful setting in the forest. It was a bit of a drive to Glacier Park but not too far. The home had all of the necessary supplies and amenities. I would recommend this home for a fun family trip.

Great out if the way space

Great home to share with a family or a group of friends. Well apointed and very private. Back in the woods with deer in the yard yet only about 5 miles from downtown. We had a great time!

Peaceful getaway yet close enough to everything

Cottage was perfectly serene - a hide away spot to relax and unwind in the beauty of the woods - and close enough to everything you need in Northwest Montana. The house was well furnished and very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the space and the nature (deer and other wildlife in the back yard every day). The property management was very prompt and helpful when we had questions. I would highly recommend the location, the cottage and the property management company!

DIA to Kalispell

House was perfect for large family, however the description of the location left out the part about driving to the top of the mountain at Northwoods... all the way to the top. A little troubling at first but then of course adjusted. No views just forest but have to get down the hill 10-15 minutes. Once you are used to that its good.

Wonderful, delightful getaway!

WOW! The photos on the site don't do it justice. The house and the property are spectacular. The house was substantially larger than we expected and has plenty of amenities to house 6 adults and 4 teenagers. The location is quiet and serene. We were in the area to experience Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain, but the property is a delightful destination in its own right. We enjoyed our time hanging out at home nearly as much as the time exploring the Park and the Mountain. The distance from town and the mountain is "just right" -- it's far enough to feel quiet and secluded, yet it's easy to run in to town for a meal or for groceries. This property is awesome in every way! We can't wait to return.

Beautiful Cabin, Peaceful Retreat

The accommodations were adequate, peaceful, and spacious for our group. Supplies we’re good. It was fun to see deer show up several days. The gravel road was a challenge most of the week until a grader came thru. That made the commute to town longer. The internet connection was subpar as well. Could not stream shows. We probably would not rent again due to the last two items.

We had a nice stay overall, but there were several cleanliness and communication issues that should be addressed.There were a pile of dead spiders near the bunk beds, not one or a few but 10 at least, making our guests uncomfortable sleeping there, along with other dead bugs around the house. We also found food remnants in the couches in the upstairs living room. I understand this is a home in the woods, but given the price, I expected a higher level of cleanliness.We had to re-scrub some dishes, especially the silverware, before using them. The tea jar also had so much leftover soap residue that adding water made it extremely sudsy, requiring a thorough wash before use. These issues made us question how thoroughly the home had been cleaned before our arrival.There were also some helpful details missing from the listing. We weren't given a garage code, even though the garage is the primary way to access the door where the entry code can be entered. One of the roads to the property is also in rough condition and may not be suitable for low-clearance vehicles. A note about this in advance would have helped guests planning their stay.The property has potential, but addressing the cleanliness concerns and providing clearer information about access and road conditions would improve the experience for future guests.

Wonderful Whitefish Getaway!

Wow!! This place was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our family of 6 (4 teens). The kitchen was well appointed so cooking/grilling our meals each night was a breeze! This beautifully appointed home was a wonderful spot for us to relax, read books and play games when we were not hiking in Glacier! The house is close enough to Whitefish that shopping and getting food is a breeze but also removed enough that we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet mountain surroundings! Simply a perfect home away from home!!

Perfect, private get-a-way

Beautiful, remote house on the tippy top of the mountain. Very private and yet within minutes to skiing, restaurants and town. Absolutely need 4WD in winter as the final segment of the road is a bit bumpy but worth the trek. The house has everything you will need. Loved sitting by the fireplace and watching all the deer in the yard. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nice, but not quite quite what we expected

The structure was very nice and if you’re looking for a very private setting in the woods it was very good. However, the couch had a 18 inch ripped backing in one spot and 6 inch rip in another. The coffee pot had not been cleaned. The road to get back to the house had a very rough gravel drive for a portion of the way. The decor did not match the quality of the house. It was fully stocked with all amenities. It was serene and tranquil, but for the price it just missed the mark.
