A beautiful retreat less than an hour from the Twin Cities. The cabin is gorgeous and sits right along the lake. Whether you want lakeside dining, coffee by the dock, or a fire under the stars (both wood and gas!) this cabin has it all. And the hidden surprise? A massage chair! A lovely getaway.

Beautiful view, but the "amenities" could use some work. The lake view was fantastic and we throughly enjoyed the covered deck. The lake itself is prone to algae (we visited in late August), it is not advised for dogs to swim in it. The amenities on the property need some work. The hot tub needs to be cleaned, there was sand present on every seat, the bathtub takes more than an hour to fill (one of the spigots was also broken), we were also told that if we ran out of paper products (toilet paper and paper towels) it was our responsibility to get more (we were given a roll and a half of toilet paper for 4 days). For full transparency we were give a 20% discount on our nightly fee, due to these issues. We hope the property will be given the maintenance it needs.

We really loved this little cabin. There were a few things not quite finished with cleaning, although we appreciated the flexibility of the host in assisting us with shifting plans due to an approaching winter storm and the challenge this may have posed. Communication was not consistent. The owner/host uses a management agency that used AI to respond to our messages in the app. This system then directed us to communicate directly with the owner/host outside of the VRBO app. using personal phone numbers and emails. This made us a little uncomfortable as VRBO cautions against this. We sometimes received prompt responses and sometimes none from the host, although generally important questions/requests were answered and they were very flexible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found this to be a cozy spot close enough to town and many hiking trails in the area. It's right on the water, so in warmer weather this appears to be a great spot for water activities.
