Sandbanks Escape (5 min drive) on Sheba’s Island | Pet-Friendly Cottage

3 rooms: max of 2 adults + 1 child under 10 years of age in each room

This is our family cottage on "Sheba Island" (which is not actually an island). It offers all the comforts of home amidst the tranquil countryside, just 5 minutes from Sandbanks Provincial Park. Situated on a spacious 0.8-acre lot that stretches a large part of the island, it features a wetland nearby for bird watching, deeded water access, a fire pit, upper and lower patios, complimentary bikes and kayaks, a trampoline, board games, a K-cup coffee machine, and a universal EV charger in the garage.

No events, but good pets are welcome!

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please turn off the AC, as well as the heaters in the basement if used. Please close all windows.
If you borrowed Ontario park passes, please remember to return them in the secret spot and send a photo.
Please transfer trash to the larger bin in the garage for our elderly property manager. Thanks!

Excellent getaway spot in the PEC area, great communication with the owner and the property is exactly as advertised, spacious, comfortable and we would definitely return!

We visited in July when the weather was very warm. The air conditioning was cool on the main floor but the bedrooms were very warm. The warmth was exacerbated by the sheer or non existent window coverings in the bedrooms. We checked out a day early as it was uncomfortable for sleeping. We have stayed in this area before and were happier with our other rentals.

While everyone’s preferred temperature will be different - some guests have said it’s too cold, whereas Tracey’s group felt it was too hot - the temperature sensors were at 18.5 degrees on the main floor and 21.5 on the upper floor. We have 5 sensors throughout the house for this reason so that we can determine what “too hot” actually means. I should note that the absolute coldest temperature is 18.5 for the heat pump itself. We’re not able to refund someone choosing to leave a day early during peak summer season when they booked under the strict policy. Guests should be aware of this. We gave Tracey a partial refund to cover the cleaning fee as she seemed unhappy. Tracey was otherwise cordial.

La maison est très propre et très bien équipée. Énormément d’espaces pour être confortable. A quelques minutes de la plage en voiture.Immense terrain pour activités extérieures dans un quartier très tranquille.
