Hedgehog Harbor House is the perfect place for a family vacation or a couples' retreat. Here, you are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Door County to revel in the peace and quiet of Gills Rock, yet close enough to easily access great outdoor recreation, dining, arts and culture. Relax on the front deck with a view of Hedgehog Harbor, and enjoy the morning sun on the white birches from the back patio. Warm up on chilly spring and autumn evenings by the fireplace, or sit around the fire-pit gazing at the stars. There's plenty of room on the lower level for the kids to spread out and play games, a loft with a view for readers to cozy up with a book, and a three season room to play cards. Whether you're into biking, hiking, water sports, sightseeing, shopping -- or just wanting to come to Northern Door for its wonderful restorative nature, this is the place to be. You'll quickly discover why we call our little piece of Gills Rock the "relaxation zone."

What we do/do not provide is found both in the amenities section of the website as well as in the information I send to all our guests far ahead of arrival. On the rare occasion when guests have forgotten towels, they have notified us and we've done our best to figure something out for them. This guest did not communicate with us. As with all VRBO properties, the rental and other fees are set out before a guest pays, and our fees are very reasonable in the area our property is found.

Beautiful Base Camp for Door County

Beautiful location and beautiful home for a getaway for a large group! We spent a long weekend here and it was a perfect spot to end the night with a fire after exploring the local Bay Towns.

Great Place and Spectacular Location

Great place with a great layout. Be forewarned, you will need to bring bath towels and staples such as salt and pepper. The locations is quiet and very private. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home, great location!

The house was perfect for our large family, even our dogs. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to see and visit in the surrounding towns. We were able to come back at night, make dinner and settle in around a fire in either the fireplace or fire pit. Just a lovely vacation and place to stay!

Door County Family Trip

We had a wonderful time! The property had beautiful views of the water and large open spaces for the whole family to gather. Great house

This is a great house for a family vacation. 2-story vault ceiling allows a Great Lake view. The house is well layout and very clean. It is in a very quiet section of Gills Rock by the water. We had a nice bonfire and enjoyed each other’s company.

Great place for a family gathering

Spacious, clean, lots of room with separate spacing of bedrooms that allow some distance even though we were a large group. Clean, lots of natural light. Nice indoor fireplace worked well without smoking out the home. Lots of deck space, nice fire pit in the back. Great stargazing!

Hedgehog Harbor Hideway

Beautiful home located across the street from the bay in a quieter part of Door county. The owner checked in on us to make sure everything was going well during our stay and was very helpful. The house accommodated 8 adults with ease. We are hoping to go back again tomorrow n the fall.

Perfect relaxing vacation home

The home is beautiful and well appointed. Our family of 7 had all the room we needed. Our favorite part of this property was the fire pit in the back. It was far enough to have peace and quiet and close enough to all of the activities of the towns. My personal favorite part of this home were the windows with sunlight streaming in from all angles! Thanks for a wonderful vacation for our family! We will be back!
