Climb the spiral staircase to the master bedroom and have a soak in the Jacuzzi bathtub. The rustic pine interior has that classic cabin decor and ambience. If you want outdoor experiences, you can launch your kayaks right from our gravel beachfront. There is an excellent sandy beach nearby across the river at Meenan's Cove. Everything about our stay at this cottage surpassed our expectations. We had a wonderful, very restful and comfortable stay. And our Labradors loved the big property!

Thanks so much for staying at our family cottage. We look forward to hosting you again!
The driveway is a little steep. Pay attention to instructions. Also I would make the house number fluorescent to make it stand out at night. It’s a dark road.
The location of this cabin is absolutely beautiful, with wonderful views and such a peaceful setting. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved the thoughtful touches such as blankets on all the chairs. The outdoor seating and firepit were amazing and really added to the experience and loved the bath tub upstairs. The host was also extremely responsive whenever we contacted them. There are a few areas where the cabin could benefit from some maintenance and updating. One of the BBQ burners wasn't working, and the heat pump didn't seem to be working properly, although the AC worked perfectly. The dryer has also definitely seen better days and clothes took a while to dry. One addition that would make the property even more special would be a couple of kayaks for guests to use. With such a beautiful waterfront location, they would be amazing and really allow guests to make the most of the setting. Overall, the beautiful location, gorgeous views, extremely comfortable beds and a lovely outdoor space made this a really enjoyable stay. With a little updating and attention to maintenance, this could be a fantastic property.

Hi we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We will look into the barbeque repair and have the heat pump checked. Yes our dryer is slow, it is a compact version running on 120 volts rather than the heavy duty 240 full size dryers. Our waterfront area is perfect launch point for personal watercraft like paddleboards, canoes or kayaks. Unfortunately for liability reasons we don't supply them for guest use. We encourage guests to bring their own kayaks or rent them in nearby in Hampton. We hope you come back soon!
Thank you,
Richard and Darion
The host was very responsive and helpful. A great little cottage.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
We were lucky in our vehicle we had all wheel drive, would not have made it up the driveway. The lake on cottage side was not suitable for swimming. The beach on the other side was better. The top bunk of the bunk beds should of had a safety rail. The owner of the cottage needs to visit and upgrade some kitchen supplies. TV and cell reception was great. Leather furniture was cozy. Beds were comfortable. The cleanliness of the cottage could have been much, much better. Cob webs everywhere. Moldy clothes hamper, much needed detailing everywhere. I had to wipe out every dresser. Kitchen drawers and cupboards have not been cleaned in awhile. Bugs and dirt in every window sill. I am sorry Richard I would not return. You really need to go there and understand. You were a wonderful at attending to everything we asked. Thank you.

I am sorry that our family cottage did not meet your expectations. I have reviewed your feedback with our cleaning staff to address your concerns with cobwebs and detailing. Yes the driveway is steep, and our shoreline is stony. It is great for swimming, kayaking and canoeing but we do recommend water shoes. Fortunately there is an excellent sandy beach if you prefer, nearby across the river at Meenan's Cove. We do our best to keep everything in decent order so you can enjoy your stay.
We had an amazing stay at this property. We booked this spot for the weekend for a relaxing/ reading getaway with our little book club, and it was perfect! The space was very clean, comfortable, and the location was beautiful. We already miss sitting on the patio overlooking the lake, and watching the sunset. The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies/utensils that you would need for cooking (much better than other places I’ve stayed). Richard was fantastic to communicate with, and provided clear and easy instructions for check in/check out. We hope to be back in the future!

I loved this cottage! Beautiful! Views! In the gazebo and from cottage deck! Ducks! Every morning in the water! Sitting around the fire! Every night! Very peaceful and comfortable cottage! We had a great time with our family! The sunrise in the morning is also very beautiful!

Thanks forxstaying at our cottage. We also love the view! Come back soon.
It was all quite nice, met our needs. The tv was impossible for us to figure out, maybe a cheat sheet would be a good idea. None of the three of us could figure it out. We are used to fire stick and chrome.
Richard went out of his way to ensure I was taken care of. Woke up with a flat tire and was able to get some info from Richard, including having the neighbour check in on me. Can't say enough!
Thank you for staying at our cottage. You are welcome to return to relax here anytime!
