About this property

Va'inga Sea View Guest House, Fatafehi Rd, Toula, Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga.

You are staying right next to the beach. I had a pontoon at the beach for pick-up and drop-off by boat, and for other needs like swimming and snorkelling, but at the moment there are works in progress on the wharf and stairs, as it was damaged by the waves and strong winds. It is very close to the main road and not very far from town (Neiafu). There are two houses available with 2 bedrooms each. They are ready for anyone visiting Vava'u for whale watching, snorkelling, diving, holidays, or other reasons. This house has a huge area in the dining room, and an extra room can be added. There is lots of room for families in each unit. We are working to install the internet there, and we have finished installing hot water for the shower, and it's working perfectly now. You will love living in one or both of those houses if you have more families, workmates, boat crews or friends in Vava'u. If there is anything you want us to provide or help you with, please let us know, and then we will do our best to help and provide it all for you. Quiet, calm, and relaxing

Such a calming location on the waterfront. I enjoyed looking out to the harbour every day. It made going for a swim very easy. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and helped me with anything I needed. The house was well equipped with everything. Thank you! Would definitely stay again!

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Do not rent this property. I booked in March for a stay beginning July 30 I chose it specifically because i was on Vava'u to scuba dive & swim with whales, and the description & pictures showed stairs down to the water and a pontoon pier. When i arrived it was NOTHING like that. THERE WERE NO STAIRS OR PIER. The yard ended in a ledge that dropped off onto dense jungle. There wasn't even a way to climb down to the ocean. The yard had construction debris in it. No one was there to let me in. The driver was too kind to leave me & found out the people in the front had the keys. Inside was dirty, no towels or clean sheets. Electricity was NOT on. The sliding door to the balcony barely opened. Kitchen appliances were not working or not present. It was one rung above derelict. The host said he would have the place cleaned, electricity turned on, and get me a place for the night. He said the stairs had been destroyed by waves; he hadn't been able to fix them yet. I told him I wanted a refund because he had 5 MONTHS to take care of things He gave me half of my money back, stating he needed to get some payment. Expedia wouldn't help as I hadnt taken pictures when i arrived & the host went online & CHANGED THE DESCRIPTION to say the stairs needed repairs. I didn't have a screenshot of the original description The price was listed in NZD, I paid in USD but he refunded me in TOP without informing me, which felt like a blatant attempt to confuse the payment issue Worse experience ever!
