About this property

A 400-year-old inn (a listed building) near Himeji Castle — ‘The Town of Yokai’

The main house (a nationally registered cultural property) of the former Oguni village headman's residence, said to be eight years older than Himeji Castle, has been renovated and reborn as lodging.
The former Oguni residence is the birthplace of Oguni Tetsujuro, the village headman who saved peasants during the Bantan Uprising.
