The house is lovely with fabulous lake views. The kitchen is well equipped and we were very comfortable there. Would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity.

We are repeat VRBO'ers to this property and it's always fantastic. The location, the house has everything we need, including the basics for small children - pack n' play, baby gate & high chair. The rooms are well stocked and the beds are SUPER comfortable. The view is amazing! Highly recommend and we will continue to keep coming back to this location!We also used the BABY QUIP service partnership with VRBO to rent toys, play structures, and baby monitor so the toddler had lots of activities to keep her busy.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

We stayed for a week while our child attended Space Camp and had a wonderful, relaxing week. The house has beautiful views with plenty of places to enjoy, including a screened in porch and outside deck. The house was impeccably clean, kitchen was well-appointed and the communication with the host was excellent.

Amazing Lake House

We have stayed in many home rentals in the area and this one was easily our #1. Beautiful house... thoughtful owners... outstanding lake view... fantastic weather watching... and Lucy's BARge down the street had great music! Highly recommend....

We enjoyed your lake home so tremendously and can hardly wait for our June return. You are a most gracious host and I truly appreciate our chitchats. I miss the sunrises and sunsets already and thank you for sharing them with us. The layout of your home is perfect for multiple guests with plenty of room for all of us to walk around and enjoy our time together without being overrun by each other. Perfection!! From the moment we arrived, we knew this lake house was something special. Waking up to the sounds of the lake and sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the water was spectacular. The house itself is absolutely stunning—impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. From cozy blankets to a fully stocked kitchen, every detail was considered with care. The large windows offer breathtaking views, and the outdoor deck is the ultimate place to relax, whether you’re grilling with friends or stargazing. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, making us feel welcome from start to finish.We are planning our return!!!

Perfect getaway!

Oh goodness this place will wow you. As soon as you open the door, it’s panoramic river views in every room. The homeowners have thought through every detail and provide all the information in one spot digitally (!) for you to easily reference before, during, and after. We had a mini reunion with college friends and the house was perfect. All the open space made it possible to keep everyone together and the deck over the dock made outside gatherings fun too. We even managed to snag a couple bass. The views are stunning. The owners will spoil you. The house has ample amenities. You’ll love this place

Girls Trip for R & R on the Lake

I cannot say enough about our experience at 5354 Bay Shore Drive, Athens, Alabama. From the time we arrived at the lake house until we departed, everything was great. The location was perfect as it was close enough to the stores and yet isolated enough (directly on the Lake) from all the hustle and bustle of the traffic. The cleanliness of the home was excellent. Everything from the furniture to the appliances was modern. The 3 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms were large and spacious with sleeping space for our group. The bathrooms were equipped with clean towels, soap, shampoo, and there were extra towels in the laundry room that were equipped with a washer and dryer. The kitchen was equipped with glassware, dishware, pots, pans, and a cabinet of spices. From the cozy blankets to a fully stocked kitchen, every detail was considered with care. The large windows (especially in the dining area) offered breathtaking views, and the outdoor deck was the ultimate place to relax, whether you are grilling or stargazing. Waking up to the sounds of the lake and sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the water was spectacular. I would recommend this location to others. The group wants to revisit next year!

This was a wonderful property. The host left numerous goodies for us that initially made us feel so welcome. Then we settled in. The space was incredibly open and airy. The multitude of windows had great vistas of the lake. Everything was clean and modern. The lake was deep and easily accessible from the pier. The only downside (depending on your level of fitness) is the number of steps getting from the house to the lake. Personally I liked it because I never needed to workout while we stayed there. I would readily recommend this property to close friends (except on the weekends next year we plan to go back).
