The Monarch boasts a unique accommodation experience right in the heart of Tumut. The Heritage listed home has had a grand restoration with an amazing glass atrium in the centre of the home. Boasting three bedrooms and sleeping six adults in comfort.

When you book The Monarch, you are reserving the whole house for your family or group. Rooms are unavailable to be booked individually. It is large enough for a get-together, large family group and yet intimate enough for a romantic getaway. The open plan and light filled living area has proven to be the perfect place for brides to get ready, or to host a high tea or dinner party.

Make sure you book enough nights to slow down and enjoy what the Snowy Valleys has to offer and to relax in comfort. We have books, games, streaming services, a large spa and everything you will need to unwind. We are also close to mountain bike tracks, walking tracks, some great swimming spots or if you want to venture further we have the stunning Kosciusko National Park a very short drive away.

You are right in the heart of Tumut and have the best of everything at the doorstep. Choose your adventure with some fishing in the Tumut River a mere 100m away, take a walk along the riverwalk or head up town (also 100m away) for some coffee or shopping.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Monarch in Tumut! Wendy and Peter are wonderful hosts and always manage to add those extra special touches that make staying here feel so much more personal and welcoming.The new personalised items were such a cool addition and really added to the charm of the house. You can tell how much thought and care they put into making their guests feel special.The Monarch is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you could want for a relaxing stay. We’ve stayed several times before and somehow Wendy and Peter continue to make each visit even better!We absolutely can’t wait to return to The Monarch again! Highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed!
