In Downtown Friday Harbor!

The Artist's Suite is a lovely, ground floor, studio suite. This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people.

The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor.

The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite!
A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021.

This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area.
This Suite does not have Air Conditioning.

Could use a couch/loveseat to have somewhere besides dining chairs or the bed to sit. There was a CONSTANT swooshing sound, definitely NOT from the wind. The shower was the worst I've ever experienced. Could not even wash my hair. The pressure was good but the shower head itself (water saving) created such a wide spray of water you couldn't get out of it, but also didn't provide enough concentration of water to properly wash/rinse anything. The tiny little streams it created felt like needles piercing the skin.

5 perfect days

We stayed for 5 amazing days in this home. The location was perfect for all our walking needs downtown. No need fo stress over parking! The home was clean and had everything we needed, even a scrubber to wash our dishes. We will be staying here again next summer!

This place is great! It’s just far enough off the main area of town to be quiet, while still being a 2-10 minute walk to most places in Friday Harbor. Everything was clean and nice. The mattress was very comfortable.
