There was a ton of room for our family of four. Rosa was easy to communicate with both before the stay (she wrote a very informative and thorough welcome email) and at check-in. We stayed for three nights and it was easily the most comfortable of the five different sets of lodging we had in Iceland.

The perfect cottage!
I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible.

Just came back from a great stay at one of the cottages. Rosa was a pleasure. Met us a minute after we arrived and showed us how everything worked. The cottage is quiet and remote but just a few minutes outside Selfoss which was a lovely little town with everything you could need. It’s a few minutes from Rt 1 so if you’re traveling around, it’s a great location. Would absolutely stay there again if given the chance.

This was an amazing lodge - away from the light pollution of selfoss which allowed us to experience the dancing northern lights for an hour during one of our nights. The lodge was lovely, extremely clean and we had a wonderful meeting with Rósa who looks after the lodges who gave us lots of information. The lodge was full of food ingredients and helped us settle on the first night. We were a party of five and the lodge was definitely big enough but it is a shame that it didn’t have an ensuite to make showering quicker. I have seen that some other lodges have hot tubs and this would truly be icing on the cake considering how clear the nights were.
If you are in Iceland, a stay at Icelandic Cottages is a must. A 10 out of 10! Our hostess, Rosa, was very nice and showed us our charming, cozy clean 3 bedroom 1 bath home. The best place to view the Northern lights illuminate the dark clear sky. Breathtaking! It is about a 15 min drive to Selfoss downtown and within close distance to major attractions: Geyser, Gulfoss, Thingvellir national park, Secret lagoon, Kerid crater, horseback riding at Eldhestar...we would stay there again and recommend all our family and friends.
Very clean and decorated nicely. Location was perfect for sightseeing activities. Very helpful binder the owner put together. Amenities were available to us upon arrival.
Our cottage (number 4) was FANTASTIC. Beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped - coffee, tea, milk, some food stuffs, and lots of spices so cooking (when we bothered) was very easy. Rosa, the owner/hostess could not have been friendlier or more helpful. She has even made up a binder with maps, local attractions and things to do, restaurant recommendations, etc. The cottages are in a beautiful rural area but only less than fifteen minutes drive to Selfoss. Highly recommend Icelandic Cottages.
The cottage was very cute and cozy. It was bright, clean and well stocked with towels and dishes etc. When we arrived, we were given a binder with a lot of information about sites to see in the area. It was a lovely stay.
Love and love and love this wonderful cottage. We are family of five were all enjoyed very much staying here. Great location. It made us love Iceland even more . Rosa, the owner of the cottage, is a wonderful sweet person. she provided everything you would need. We loved her home made berry jam. We saw Northern Lights during the summer night from the cottage. It was amazing experience. Very remarkable vacation. Thank you Rosa !

Wonderful, comfortable, modern accommodations. Lots of thought went into providing all that we needed for our stay -- from recommended sites, restaurants, etc. to coffee and milk.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
