The rooms are old and outdated in the far building. The bathroom was outdated and the tub did not drain. The elevator was broken. The housekeeping was inconsistent or non existent. Do not stay at the last building they consider ocean side. Front desk was friendly, restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Overall stay was 3 star.

The apartment was comfortable, reasonably well equipped, and the beds were good. There was daily housekeeping, and linens were changed every 3 or 4 days. There's a modest gym, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, a cold tub, and a tennis court. We ate in mostly, but there's enough restaurants open in February to eat out too. This was our second stay at Cerro Mar.

The property was very nice with great amenities. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try out the spa or the pools but the gym was good. A short walk to the city centre and it was nice to have a free shuttle to and from town, but it would have been nice if it ran later in the day for return from dinner out.

Weak management! 5am sun loungers reserved! I won't be going back to this hotel. Guests reserving sun loungers at 5am and not coming out to them to around 12 midday. Went and told management but they didn't want to know. Lift also reported broken on second day of arrival at the Atlantico block 3 and wasn't fixed until the day 6 of the holiday. Ironing boards in the apartment but no irons. Only good thing anything hotel was the location to the old town but it's a steep climb back up walking back to the hotel.

We had a great property, with a great view...though we did not know for sure we would get that prior to coming. We would not have wanted any lower level properties. Area is a little loud but that's to be expected. Loved the apartment and the balcony. Helpful staff and the restaurant was amazing - with excellent waiting staff.

Lovely apartment, cleaned daily and well maintained. Only niggle was the sunbeds, some broken and all looking abit tired and need updating. Also very uncomfortable as not padded.

Hotel put us in old building and old unit. Furniture was beat up etc. we paid for upgrade of 20 euros per day for 3 days as did our friends. Front desk staff were excellent especially Miguel in making things right. Beds and pillows are terrible in this hotel compared to My Story Hotels and Evora Olive Hotel.

We were very happy with our one bedroom unit in Atlantico…quiet, large, and close to pool. Shower could be improved. Nice view from balcony. Cleaning staff do a great job. Too bad pools are cold. But enjoyed the steam bath. Staff very helpful and friendly. Could have more options for dining. Only 2 meals there as quality was poor.

Studio apartment was spacious but layout could have been better and the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and small - didn’t get a decent night’s sleep. Breakfast was good though although another coffee machine would have helped. Location was good but up a steep hill

Overall very nice property a little older than expected and we didn’t like room location, only there for 4 nights however, I assume if staying longer you would have a better location. Did not like that there was only ceiling lights and not lamps by bed. Felt like we were under a spotlight all the time. The housekeeping could use some improvement. I had to ask for drying towels for dishes. There should be some dish soap available especially when only staying a few days, shouldn’t have to purchase.

It was a convenient location to Albufeira Old Town, but overall the hotel was just ok. A little dated, missing a few basics. We had an apartment with a sleeper sofa which actually turned out to be a trundle bed and only sheets and pillows were provided for it, no comforters. No dish soap or dish sponge in the kitchen (we had to buy them at the reception !). Ok for a couple of nights that we needed but not great.

Room was supposed to have one king and two twins but instead it had two twins pushed together and a hard plastic couch with a trundle, both of which were very uncomfortable even though we had more bedding delivered. Rooms were bare and dated. Had all of the basic needs. Beautiful views. Last shuttles to old town were 5:30 so if you are going to dinner, steep walk there and back. Town itself was very charming and lovely.
