Excellent stay

We had a great stay, the room was huge and beautiful with a free standing bath and stunning ceilings. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Excellent location - 10 min walk to the duomo and lots of shops around. Really recommend this hotel, great price too!

Two bathrooms, lots of storage etc. Kitchen had lots but cleanliness could get a lot better. Parking at the back is fantastic but beware the traffic restrictions to get there - we could only move our car after 8pm.

"Room with a view"? No chance!

I have rarely been treated so rudely at a hotel reception. The woman who checked us in was horrible and didnt give us any information about wifi, breakfast etc. Acted like our arrival was a complete inconvenience on her valuable time. The studio was like a well appointed cell no windows or air circulating. Terrible if you are asthmatic. So could hardly tell if night or day when in there. Breakfast was via a voucher we finally got hold of presented at bar next door served by another charmless individual. Things in the appartment falling apart;shower pole ,towel rail,fridge shelf. Couldnt bear to interact with misery guts to report though. On plus side near an interesting neighbourhood,supermarket and bus route to station.10 mins to Doumo and most sites.

Excellent location with wonderful views

wow !!!! We stayed in the Verspucci? apartment which had a balcony. The rooms were spacious and clean and the views were wonderful. Ask for this flat if you have the chance. We are going to book again for next year.

We were delighted with the room. There were 6 adults in an apartment for 8 and it was huge. It was pretty central and had limited parking at the back. Breakfast for the 3 days was left in advance but this suited us as it meant we could have it when we wanted it. It was a bit dated but overall we were really impressed.

Great location but noisy. Beds not comfortable.

Not as nice as the pictures make it look like. The beds were not comfortable. There is a night club with a live band on the main floor of the hotel, that kept us awake until 2am two nights in a row.

central florence

the biggest advantage of the accomodation was firstly the size. 3 bedrooms and more than enough living space is great when you have a family and don't want to be on top of each other all the time. Next the lcoation is brilliant. Lively and very central. The accomodation itself was as expected but with a definite touch up required in rooms and some applicances not working. Condequently, after more than 3 days you are starting to notice the faults. Also very basic breakfast left which is fine as not expecting anything but we did not use and yet a new allocation was added each day. When we keft it was all piled up unused.

Excellent location and good facilities

Firstly this is not a hotel, but for a young family the self catering spect works very well. They provide basic breakfast ingredients which are topped up daily, but there is also a supermarket just down the road. We found it almost impossible to drive to the hotel what with closed roads, roadworks and no entry signs. It turns out that the hotel is in a pedestrian only zone, but when we did (illegally) manage to drive to it they managed to find us a private parking space and even cancelled the fines we had racked up on the way in! Because the hotel is not staffed overnight, it did get quite noisy at times, and some of the furnishings were a little basic, but adequate for most needs. The best part was the location - as all the historic sites are within easy walking distance. The hotel even provided us with a local map and recommended a restaurant to us (Antico Fattore near Uffizi). This was good but we enjoyed Gusty Leos (near Bargello museum) more.

A real find in Florence

this is a real find in central Florence. A spacious traditional apartment for just a little more than a standard hotel room. The staff were efficient when we checked in, the apartment was much larger than I was expecting, was very clean and well equiped (plenty of pots and pans, dishes etc) so it was actually easy to cook dinner. We also has a lovely sunny roof terrace with a table and sun loungers. The area was very nice, with good shops and bars and not to noisy at night for the middle of a city. Only real drawback was the sofa bed,it was difficult to pull out and due to the fact that the base was metal and springs and had a metal bar down the middle it was hell to sleep on. I would go back but would book a two room apartment for the 4 of us next time

Great location...convinience

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel. It was much better than I thought. We were made to feel welcome on arrival. The apartment we were given was huge. I was with my husband and 2 children aged 12 and 14. The apartment was meant for 6 adults. The bonus was the massive terrace. We were all so excited. The lovely lady at the desk was very helpful. The only suggestion or downside was that, we stayed there for 5 nights and we never saw a cleaner. The sheets were not changed and the towels were not replaced. We had plenty of towels to start us off ( it was equipped for 6 adults) I guess we could have called the reception and it could have been sorted. It is about 10-12 euros from the train station. if we did not have luggage we would have walked. We did walk to the central station for our day trip to Pisa. I would suggest staying in Florence rather than Pisa. Book to see David in advance, and carry your passport to museums if you are part of EU it can save you 1/3. We queued for 3 hours for the Uffizzi. Overall, great place, great location, fair prices and I would recommend the apartments to friends.

Not Impressed at all

I was really looking forward to staying in this apartment, from the web it looked really nice. Our bedroom had the remains of mosquito's squashed against the walls, there was no plug for the bath, the shower leaked and the rooms were not cleaned the 2 nights we stayed. It is advertised as a buffet breakfast. They actually just bring a box of cheap coop cereal, milk, juice and a pkt of coffee and a couple of teabags and chatty long life croissants. We needed to ask for our breakfasts on the first morning, nothing arrived the next day, but we didn't care.
