The Kern Lodge is cute, comfortable and a great value. It's an old family style lodge. The rooms are good sized and clean. Maybe not the best bed but all 5 of us slept just fine. Location is walkable to literally everything. I can't say enough nice things about the gentlemen who runs the place. We will be back!.

There is a major problem in this area during wind or heat periods , Edison shuts off the power for long periods of time , closing restaurants , shops and gas stations . Ac and lights to your hotel room

The peoperty is okay but they used bedding that had already been used by other guests and was stained without washing. The stove in the kitchen did not work and the fixtures inside were very old and not in good working order.

Unique property. Many things not working in the unit we were assigned (and apparently the room we actually booked hasn't been properly working for months per the front desk staff). Super informal checkin checkout process. Pluses: AC worked well, close to activities, and ample room to park. Was tolerable for a one night stay and early am departure
