The property is a little old, but it was clean and a great location. The pool area was great as well and the laundry tubs and driers are big, you fit lots of clothes in. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Next time we visit Sarasota we will be staying at the Hibiscus again.

Perfect for a solo trip

Great little hotel close to the beach, but not so close as to be over-priced. Easy 15 min walk to a public beach access in one direction and 10 min walk to several restaurants/groceries in the other direction. Very clean and updated room with a full size refrigerator and small kitchen. The pool was the best part. Comfortable chairs and never crowded.

The kitchen had just what you needed for simple meals. Pots, pans, utensils, plates and bowls. We even had access to a grill. Pool was warm and clean and had plenty of seating to enjoy the sun.
