Hotel Orio

Great stay in Alberoni. The hotel was clean and in a good location and right next to the bus stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was breakfast which was quite basic but it did not spoil our trip. I would recommend this hotel

Nice stay

The hotel is really nice, warm and cosy. The rooms are clean and breakfast is good. It is close to a bus stop and a small shop. Very helpful personel.

The view from the end of the Lido

Clean, spacious rooms with lots of window and shutter. Good travel tips from the desk people who spoke good English. Sufficient public areas, including outside. Cheap bike hire was just across the road, as was the bus (15 exciting minutes to the San Marco ferry terminal). Buffet breakfast was good quality but standard and unvarying, it was unleavened by a decent cappuccino if you asked for it.

A friendly base for a great holiday

We were made to feel very welcome here by the staff, who went out of their way to be both friendly and helpful. It was about 10 minutes easy walk to the beach, the bus stops almost outside, and there was a choice of good food for the evening within a few doors. A nice base for a holiday in Venice, although out of the bustle of the centre.

Thanks for making our stay PERFECT

Although the hotel was bit out of centre, the transport links were excellent! Bus journey plus water bus only cost 7€ to get to city centre. It only costs 15€ each way to get the airport via the frequent bus service and water bus. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the beach (5mins walk), but like to visit all the tourist locations (40mins) at a good affordable price. The restuarant at the beach does great Italian food with affordable prices! The sunbeds for two and a umbrella costs over 20€ each day, but ask hotel reception for the 20% discount paper. The staff were excellent, they go out of their way to make sure you happy with your stay, and very efficient. The rooms are cleaned everyday with plenty of fresh towels and sheets. Best thing is cleaning lady doesn't come knocking on your door at 8am!! Breakfast included in the price, bread and pastries are daily and fresh. All in all had a very pleasant stay, thank you for everything!

The perfect little resting spot

If you want to go to Venice I suggest going to Lido, its a little extra to ferrry over but its not such a crazy maze of tourists like main Venice can be. And if you go to Lido, i highly recommend hotel Orio. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful and the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach, its on the quieter side of the island next to two markets, 3 restaurants and a Gelato shop that is open late night that can't be beat. Also a 5 minute walk to the harbor for when you want to ferry into venice to go site seeing. Want ant info just ask the staff and they will answer all your questions. Try to get up early for their breakfast. Delicious. If i ever go back to Venice I'm booking a room again here handsdown perfect location.

Cozy but further away

We stayed for almost a week and found the stay quite comfortable. The hotel is fairly clean and the staff are friendly. There is a bus stop almost right outside of hotel entrance to get to the water bus stop of lido. Only disadvantage here is that the hotel is further away in lido but we found the bus stop right outside the room helpful. Being in a quieter part of lido the hotel is a good place to relax after a busy day at venice. There is a restaurant and a pub nearby so its not the middle of nowhere! Would recommend the place.

Hotel was great

Only downside was that it was situated at the furthest part of the Lido and was a half hour bus journey to the vaperetto. Buses ran every 15 mins though and you were guaranteed a seat as it was near the start of the route. Hotel, room good, clean, tidy , toilet/showering very clean. Breakfast was typical continental fare. Ham and cheese rolls with cakes. Fresh and plentiful. Staff were friendly enough. There were a couple of shops, minor mini market kind of. Ice cream shop. Three bars, not British bars sadly. Also a resterant where we had meals. Very tasty and about 8 to 10 euros per meal. Oh filling as well. Must have a transport 24/72 hour ticket for buses and vaperetto. Easy system to use. One and a half hour from Santa Lucia to the hotel. One hour hotel to st marks. Thanks

Excellent service

Very impressed with Hotel Orio. Staff were fantastic and very helpful, hotel was very well kept and beach only a 5 minute walk away. Great for a relaxing break away from the madness of Venice.

Friendly and welcoming

My adult daughter and I stayed for three nights at Villa Orio. The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Obviously a hotel in Lido is out of Venice and this is reflected in the very reasonable price. However, that said, there is an excellent and regular bus service which meets the waterbus. The stops in both directions are just outside the hotel door and we really like Lido, the semi-rural, seaside feel is a nice, peaceful contrast to Venice city. There is an excellent Pizzaria next door but one to the Hotel. I would stay there again and recommend it.

De accomodatie is erg verouderd maar wel schoon en netjes. Simpele kamers maar wel alle voorzieningen. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend want het is echt niet duur maar daar moet je wel een busrit van 20min en de oversteek met de waterbus van 20min voor over hebben. Al met al is het ons goed bevallen. S'ochtends naar Venetië en s'avonds terug was voor ons prima en als je voor het strand komt zit je op deze locatie helemaal top!
