Mediocre stay at the Palms in Wailea

There were a couple of items that were not fixed. The blinded were twisted which meant we had little privacy in the bedroom and the fitting above the blind in the bedroom was loose and fell on me when I went to have a look at it. Wifi was slow and at times did not connect.

Brilliant apartments near Wailea beach & shops

I can't wait to come here again, spacious, well appointed self catering apartments with lovely staff, heated pool & hot tub/jacuzzi, down the road from gorgeous Wailea beach and the Shops at Wailea. It's best to have a car as it's not a traditional hotel, do the Hana drive (prepare for a long day, bring water, sunscreen, snacks and don't go too fast!), visit the black beach and the red beach (treacherous trail not for the faint hearted!). Go to the Luau at the Marriott while you're here for a really great show, lovely food and an open bar. The apartments are really clean and have everything you need, bigger than my apartment back home! Garden units have a great outdoor courtyard with comfy chairs and bbqs. Had such an amazing time with my friend, we've already made plans to come back to Maui next year & will definitely stay at the Outrigger Palms at Wailea again!

Great place to stay in Maui

The Palms at Wailea is a great place to stay in beautiful Maui. Our condo was very generously sized and the views out to sea were breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the closest beach was only a 5min walk away.

Be aware that this booking is for a condo with rental managed by the seller here (Outrigger). The photos provided absolutely do not reflect the condition of the unit we were assigned. Our unit had dirty carpeting that I’d guess is 15 years old. Appliances have been recently replaced but all fixtures and features - electrical and plumbing - are on the downhill side of acceptable. Our unit was second floor with a narrow stairwell to bring things up. The main bathroom was about as clean as an average YMCA locker room. We were very disappointed and cannot recommend this property. Other units might be just fine but it’s a roll of the dice we lost.

Clean and amazing place to stay. Walk to the shops and dining in Wailea or no Kihei Town. Tons of accessibility. Facility is beautifully maintained and quiet. Pool isn’t a kid spot but we spent most of our time at the beach. Multiple beach access points within 1/4 mile. Will try and stay here again!

Great one bedroom 2 bathrooms apartment with view of the ocean. There is a nice attached balcony. The area around is very walkable and a 5 minutes drive to the Wailea beach and upscale shopping at the Shops at Wailea. There is a relatively comfortable sofa and bed in the spacious living area. Only nit pick is master bath has no attached door.

This is our second visit to the property and it didn't disappoint. We visited 6 years ago and loved it so much so returned back with our family. The property is very family friendly and close to many main attractions. We would consider staying here again.
