Lovely Port Douglas.

A lovely complex - bright, clean and well maintained. It’s not huge but that’s a good point. Three floors plus garage in basement (parking is free). Bed was huge and very comfy. Studio apartment was bright and reasonably spacious. Location was extremely handy for the Main Street, beach and markets. The complex (and town) were quite quiet because of the Covid effect. But we enjoyed our stay there nevertheless. Staff (Sue) was very welcoming and helpful. All in all, a great success.

Meridian Port Douglas.

The room we had was on main road so couldn't use the balconies. Nice pool. Five minutes walk to centre of Port Douglas which is a lively town and thoroughly enjoyed. Great trip out to Mossman Gorge.

Fantastic place

Clean, quiet and well equipped accommodation and really enjoyed the swim up pool to our accom. Very helpful in reception - booked trips for us. Couldn't fault anything.

Nice hotel

Really liked the hotel, which was comfortable, clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel is well placed for everything at Port Douglas (restaurants; bars; beach; look-out) and well worth the drive from Cairns (which has stunning views)

A fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. About a 2 min walk to the centre of port Douglas and the same to the beach! Immaculate and very clean , with laundry facilities. Lovely pool and friendly staff . Would highly reccomend.

Well situated away from town centre but near enough for easy walking access. Beach only 5 minutes walk. Apartment well maintained and very clean. Very comfortable. Good pool and surroundings very attractive.

Excellant stay!

What a great find!!! Couldn't be more pleased with this little gem. Within easy walking distance of the main strip with all the shop's and restaurants. We had a spa-bath in the mini garden... No Mozzy's!!!!!!!!!..could almost fall into the pool from the spacious room...Underground free car park meant no parking miles from room.... a lovely place with friendly staff, in tip-top shape and really convenient all round.

Lovely apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although we were initially dubious about road noise as we were at the front of the hotel rather than overlooking the pool as expected it proved not to be a problem. The room was large and bright and the hot tub was great. The pool was a good size and usually quiet as young children are not allowed at the hotel. It is well placed for shopping, boat trips and walks along the beach and buses run regularly from the road outside.Would have liked a broom and decaf coffee but those are minor niggles. Would recommend.

Peaceful and yet near the centre of the town

The perfect position for a hotel. Close to the centre of town but designed in such a way as to give privacy and peace and quiet. The fact that it is not a family hotel so there are no young children about helped. The internal decor was well thought out and the amenities provided were more than adequate and very comfortable both in terms of the furniture provided and the air conditioning. The apartment had its own balcony and direct entry to the hotel's swimming pool which was both clean and a good size so that one could swim decent lengths whilst also having shallow areas if one wished to lie or sit in the water. The owners and receptionist were extremely helpful and organised some excellent day trips for me, as well as my transfer from and back to Cairns Airport. I would thoroughly recommend the trip to the Daintree Rainforest and of course the Great Barrier Reef. There were many good restaurants close to the hotel so I never used the BBQ provided for the guests to use.

Great location.

This was a return visit but this time we had a studio. Nothing wrong with the accomodation but it is better described as a hotel room with a microwave. Because of the lack of preperation utensils couldn't even make a sandwich or a piece of toast (no toaster), or open a resealable packet of coffee (no scissors). One should opt for a one bedroom apartment.

Tropical stay at the Meridian Port Douglas

What a wonderful place to stay in Port Douglas. The pool area is a tropical paradise. Apartments are excellent and are located near the centre of Port Douglas. We arrived quite late, but were made very welcome by John who was there to greet us. If you wish to visit the Great Barrier Reef or the rain forest there are excellent tours which leave from the Marina in Port Douglas.

Second to None

Meridian Port Douglas was a delight of our holiday. The rooms are well presented. Great AC and ceiling fans, comfortable bed. Fantastic swimming pool and staff very informative, friendly and helpful.
