Easy stay

My stay was good. The hotel is close to food and public transport. Sal’s New York pizza was close by and well worth it! You could only go to your floor on the elevator, normally would be fine but my friend had hurt her back and I couldn’t go to her level.

The oaks on Lonsdale was situated in a very good location, close to the tram stop, station, theatre district, dining areas and shopping area. Our one bedroom was spacious and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel was clean and very open plan, like something big was missing in the room. Sadly the two "king" beds were singles pushed together causing a massive hard lump in the middle and were not comfortable. Shower was in really high bath, making it hard and dangerous to get in and out from. I would stay again if cost was the deciding factor, however it definitely isn't my first choice.

The Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale is not the latest/greatest building, but is an excellent place to stay in a great location for transport, dining, bars, and cultural sites. Cooking and washing/ironing facilities were handy and used daily. The views from our 24th floor apartment were amazing.

Overall a bit dated but didn’t mind as it was very roomy and very clean. No noise complaints at all. Heaps of dining options in the area, bus stop out the front. Nice walk to Rod laver. Parking was a bit tight with a hilux but seen worse and that’s to be expected. Would highly recommend

The room was clean but previous occupants had left their mark, cigarette burns, broken mirror, broken ironing board etc- didn’t cause me any issues but I felt awful for the staff as I have stayed at this hotel previously and it had been excellent
