Very family-friendly hotel with great pool and near the beach. Staff all fantastic - helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful view out over the sea which was magic. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a relaxing break! Only negative was that the pool was cloudy - not sure why as it was regularly cleaned and maintained.

Great location a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cala Agulla. The first room we were given had a bad drain smell but we were immediately moved to another without fuss which was much better. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a sea view. Lovely spa facilities and great pool area. All staff very friendly and discreet allowing for a quiet break.

Best price / benefit

Pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Bed was good (foam mattress, medium). Shower was strong, quite good. Breakfast and dinner were good (dinner changed every day based on different themes), but nothing special. I found the hotel location quite good, not too busy and within walling distance to restaurants and bars. There was free parking available in the street nearby. Only cons: there was a slight smell of cigarette in the room (which I also noted in other hotels in Mallorca).

Great location with beaches within easy reach and a scuba diving centre 2 minutes walk away. Food was excellent, tasty and lots of choice, variety of dishes changed every day. Staff were very helpful. Bit of a trek from the airport with young children (well over 2 hours on coach) but would still recommend.

An Honest Review

We had spent 3 days in Cala D'Or in an all inclusive hotel, in amazing weather then drove up to Cala Ratjada and the Guya Playa. It was stormy but that shouldnt have affected some of the negatives below. First the positives - great local area, great rooms, good food. The Negatives. - NO kids club on Saturday PM or Sunday and no entertainment in Sunday night (we were staying Sunday to Monday) - we have 2 kids that needed a kid club and there was no prior warning it wasnt on, the gym is 6 exercise bikes and some weights, the drinks are more expensive than local restaurants, the staff are efficient but there were no smiling faces. So, given we were a family with 2 kids under 10, the lack of communication prior to arriving about no kids club totally changed our stay. We love being with our kids but equally they love going to kids clubs and having things to do. I left the feeling hotel that our money had been more important than our satisfaction

Hotel was well placed a nice walk to the shops and restaurants. Although pool was busy there were always sunbeds available. The staff were always very helpful and the rooms clean. Would definitely return. Have no complaints

Fantastic location

Great hotel overall. The location was perfect with great views and a 10 minute walk to marina. Room lovely, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fab. My only negative was that the pool was a tad small for the amount of users, and as a result was too busy most of the time. Also staff allowed guests to 'keep' loungers all day by leaving a towel on a bed which I personally find selfish and rude. Because of this it is difficult to get a lounger. I would recomend this hotel overall... but it would be better if there were a rule against doing this.

Well worth a week's stay.

6 nights on Bed and Breakfast rate. Self catering studio that was a good size, spotlessly clean. Breakfast is buffet style, could get busy at peak times. I'm vegan so most of the options weren't for me, but plenty of fresh fruit, bread, jam etc Coffee was good too and they had a choice of plant based milks. Pool wasn't the biggest and got busy, I was surprised the amount of children as I had booked my stay before the school holidays. Unfortunately, there were quite a few people who reserved sunbeds with early morning towels. Staff were great, friendly and chatty and even though Cala Ratjada is predominantly a German resort, the staff spoke English as well. I'd booked this hotel as I'd seen it the previous year and thought what a great location, right on the sea front, Unfortunately I'd assumed that all rooms had a sea view, this wasn't the case. The only thing I didn't like was the balconies weren't very private i.e. the dividing walls weren't high enough and one of my immediate neighbours was a heavy smoker, which I hate the smell of so mean't I hardly used my balcony at all. The sofa bed in the room was quite utilitarian as a sofa as well, not the most comfortable. As a vegan, I cooked most of my own food. There are plenty of Spa shops with a limited range of produce and one Eroski supermarket within a 5 minute walk which was OKish. There is a Lidl and another large Spanish supermarket just out of town which was around a 30-40 min walk away.

Very pleasant stay

Very good location - at the quieter end of the resort but with everything on their doorstep and in between the resort’s beaches. Good facilities for kids and decent food for a buffet style.

Great hotel and perfect location

We had a wonderful 5 night half board stay. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good - restaurant and serving areas were clean and again staff were so accommodating. We arrived early hours of the morning - 2AM and even then a light meal was made available to us. We could not fault this hotel and are looking forward to another visit.

Fantastic from start to finish

Spent a week at THB Guya Playa Class in early September and it was a fantastic stay. The service is exceptional and the receptionist go out of their way to make sure you have a comfort stay. This is not a place where you arrive and bombarded with tons of extra charges. They make sure your holiday starts at arrival. The rooms are magnificent - we luckily had seaview which was fantastic, but the beds are comfortable (not to soft, not too stiff), it's modern, spacious, has all kitchen utilities you need for your short stay and on top of the cleaning ladies were wonderful - not intrusive but ensuring your rooms are cleaned, swept as much as you require. Then there's the room that was beyond perfect - every night a different theme and lots of choices, fresh food cooked by wonderful Eve right infront of your eyes and dessert table with tons of variety. On top of all of this, the location was outstanding. It's in a quiet side street, with mountain and sea view yet close to the most amazing beach (10 mins walk) and corner of the main street for restaurants, shopping etc. We truly enjoyed our stayed and want to thank THB Guya Playa for all of their hard work!

Does what it say's on the tin

A good quality hotel with lovely staff. It's very German but that's Cala Ratjada for you. The entertainment at night was a bit lame but that's not our thing so it didn't really bother us. It's at the top end of town so quite a walk from the marina but close to the best beach. We also found the best places to eat were close.

Lovely hotel

It was a lovely hotel, so close to the beach and the views were just amazing! The rooms were very clean, up to standard. It was also kids friendly and they had a Kids Club that kept them entertained for some time. The only negatives for me were that the staff hardly spoke English and communicating was rather difficult. I did struggle to with food as it wasn't that nice. It was fresh and everything but the taste didn't do it for me... I don't think it's the hotel in particular as we tried to eat in other places, I just didn't enjoy it. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday.so peaceful and serene.

Beautiful views from a lovely hotel

The hotel is really lovely and I can't fault anything however our holiday was slightly different as a result of the complete German domination in the hotel and the resort. We have absolutely no problem with travelling to places where there are mainly German tourists, which is why I didn't concern myself with the previous reviews saying predominantly German. We have done so on several occasions and enjoyed ourselves. The difficulty is that my son and daughter like to chat to other kids on holiday and couldn't do this. They also couldn't attend the kid's club or kid'a disco as they felt out of place. The entire resort is German focused. In shops and restaurants everywhere everyone speaks Spanish and German- very few people speak English at all and most restaurants don't have English translations on menus. The positive side to this is I had to try much harder to speak and read Spanish- which realistically we should be doing anyway! Even the hotel staff on reception couldn't understand us. I sound very xenophobic and don't want to give that impression at all as I am certainly not. Last summer we went to Germany and loved it. I just want to say that when you book a hotel in Majorca normally staff speak English and normally there is a mix of guests so my children can make friends and play with the others. On the whole once children realised that my two were not German they ignored them. We were delayed and called the hotel but were told to call back later as no one spoke English!

Lack of focus in the costomer

Our stay wat absolutely disappointing. Overall we felt a lack of interest in customers necessities and comfort. 1. The restaurant is closed from 4 PM, and even though at night is a buffet, it was not possible to ask not even a sandwich! 2. The pool beds were always occupied and there was not any policy or help from the hotel on that important issue. 3. The swimming pools are dangerous since there are multiple ways to provoke an accident. The lifeguard is all, but a lifeguard, because is busy with other stuffs but not about child's security. Bad experience
