There is nothing "Lovely" in this "Studio".It is hard to climb 30 stairs to reach "Studio" which has max 15m2, including one window without black curtain so you have daylight all day and night, kitchenette which miss the door, and terrible noise from the street ,so have to wear ear plugs all te night in order to sleep. There is no air condition at all , and wi-fi is working very limited , just from time to time...It would hard get one star, and not 3 and half as stated. It is shame for Expedia to sell apartment like this one.I have ten pictures to share with you if you like to see how it looks like.Best regards ! READ THE SMALL PRINT! Otherwise it will cost you!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY THE £50 "CLEANING/HOUSEKEEPING" CHARGE. READ THE SMALL PRINT!!!!! To be fair it is small but clean in a good location but book with your eyes wide open

George who checked us in was great, he made the best of a bad situation. When we arrived there had been a plumbing failure in the unit intended for us, so he let us use the lower unit. Water from the upstairs was leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen onto the floor, countertop and stove. George said the plumber was coming so we could move upstairs after he was done in a couple hours. When we were back we looked at the other room and the floor boards were soaked, coming up and water logged with no fans running to try to dry out the space. We opted to stay in the lower unit even though we had paid extra for the better room. The bed was the cheapest spring mattress we have ever experienced and it was on a slat bed frame that was duct taped togetherwhich makes no sense. The walls were bare and painted institutional white. There was no TV, no shower curtain in the bathroom so water went everywhere and no garbage bin. The property charges an extra cleaning charge which we asked to be waived because of the circumstances but we never heard back from George about that. It was truly an awful flat and we would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. We are surprised Expedia would list a place like this and hope they review their relationship with this property so others can avoid a similar experience, or worse - mood issues because the situation in the upper unit will probably never be properly fixed.

This is not a hotel

Firstly Hotels.com or the `hotel` itself need to change the wording on the booking. Under `Optional Extras` (yes, this means you don't have to pay it!!) it says `Housekeeping is offered for an extra charge of GBP50`. If you're going to be pedantic with English this would mean it is optional etc. I argued this with Hotels.com who accepted their error. Thanks Hotels.com - you're not the problem! What is the problem is that this is NOT a hotel. To get attention on arrival, I had to shout up the very narrow and tight staircase - mind you don't knock the washing machine tucked into the stairwell on the way up! I booked a `double` bed but was given a single room." This pulls out into a double" I was told. Yes, all very well, but considering the size of the room that would leave me 1cm to move around.£50 for cleaning?!? Someone is taking the mick here. Perhaps the last person paid £49.99 as the extractor fan in the bathroom was full of dust, cracked tiles and although cleanish, wouldn't rate this place at all.I know a few of the local businesses around here and on talking with them the next morning, the feedback from them also confirms that this is not a hotel.Linen, towels etc were ok. Wouldn't say they were the luxury items described in the original post, but they would do. I got better in Premier Inn Hub last time - will go there next time, shame they were full this time around. Netflix offered? Erm , no. In fact the TV reception was terrible. Don't stay here, its not great.

Optional fee is not optional

Optional fees are optional right? For upgrading stuff. I don't even check this part when booking a one night stay. For this property this isn't the case, it is mandatory, making this a very expensive box room.
