This property worked well as a place for my family to spread out a little after traveling in hotel rooms. It was nice to have 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. When I booked, laundry was listed, but there was not a washing machine in the room. Overall it was walkable to everything we needed, there were grocery stores a block away, and it was a good stay.

The location is good. Check in was in person. It was a heat wave through Switzerland and the fans were inadequate. We never received the city travel card from the hostess. We had our swiss travel pass and used that.

The Galaxy apartments were a good option in Lucerne with room to grow. It is close to everything with a very attentive staff. They are on site and responded to all requests immediately. The apartment complex is a work in progress. They are updating it, but it still has room to improve. Overall, it was a good location, close to old town and grocery stores, great staff, but it needs to continue its renovation to get to where it needs to be. I would recommend staying there with awareness of the situation.

Apartment was extremely small and doesnt match the pictures. We were 3 ppl. It was a twin bed and a sofa bed. No space to open the luggage. Tiny kitchen area at the entrance of the apartment door. Utensils were old and in bad condition. Bathroom shower curtain kept on falling. There were only 3 rough wornout bath towel. No hand towel nothing. Not worth the money. Only good thing was bus stop was close by.

There is construction going on right next to the room. The jackhammering and bulldozing started at 7am sharp. Our view was watching the heavy construction equipment go by our balcony. There is no AC, so to cool the place we needed to open the windows. Then construction dust got all over the apartment. Everything was dirty. The apartment was falling apart, kitchen facet was loose, cabinet doors barely hanging on and showerhead was super flimsy. They provided no hand towels or washclothes. The sponge that was there to wash your dishes was disgusting! Also Expedia says that laundry is avaliable, but you need to pay them $25 for 5 things. The laundry mat is a 10min walk. It is a nice location and you can walk everywhere. The apartment was spacious with a nice layout.

3 Days in Lucerne

We were met and escorted to accommodation very quickly upon contact. Accommodation was clean and sufficient for our needs. Requests for assistance were fulfilled quickly. Location close to Old Town meant we could walk everywhere. Kitchen facilities allowed us to relax and eat in if desired. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend Galaxy to others.

Needs TLC!

Location is great and the square footage was a nice change. Person met us at the door and showed us to the apartment and was also available to answer any questions we had. Apartment is in poor condition. The kitchen pans and utensils were poor quality and very used. The suite was not clean and needs some TLC. Beds were not comfortable, furniture was broken and falling apart. I would not recommend this location!

Galaxy Apartments is a run in the mill spot to set up camp in Luzern. No AC, great location. Friendly staff, beds are okay. I would stay again but also wouldn’t be afraid to look for better value

We stayed for 3 nights bathroom had a leak and it wasnt fixed at all. Very small bathroom if you have mobility issues. Owners were very nice and it is in a secure area close to shopping centre and walkable for those with no mobility issues.

This apartment was spacious and close to public transportation. We could easily walk to old town and Lake Lucerne. The property needs a lot of upgrades such as dishwasher which the soap dispenser was broken, dining table needs to be replaced, no washer/dryer, better quality of pillows and the elevator was so small which could not accommodate three of us with luggage.

Very nice and cozy apartment. Our family of 4 had a great time spending 2 nights in Lucern. Beds were comfortable. The sofa bed was especially impressive, nice design folding out to a almost queen sized bed. Had a very comfortable sleep in it while the rest of the family took the 2 beds in the bedroom. The apartment is a bit on the old side but that is probably the case with most apartment blocks in this old town. Bathroom was nice and clean, albeit a bit small but nothing to cause inconvenience. Overall I would give this a thumbs up!

Decent place for family stay with few compromises

Pros: The apartment is located very close to the central station and with a short walk you can reach many bus stops that takes you to the station in 5 mins. You have decent amount of kitchenware and utensils (if you are planning to cook). Cons: The bathroom is cramped up a bit and the shower drain was clogged that it takes quite some time to drain the water. The beds are 50-50. They are not super comfortable but they get the job done. Overall its a decent place to stay with family based on its current conditions but it could improve drastically if improvements were made in the bathroom and bed.
